• Hey Guest,

    As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Just curious really. I kind of admire people who participate in 'peaceful protests'. When they really believe in a cause that much that they're willing to give their time and energy for it. Plus, the risk factor- if it degrades into violence.

I haven't ever participated in one. Maybe the closest I got was wanting to protest against the Iraq war. I still didn't though. I actually hate crowds for one. The closest I get is signing petitions and donating here and there to causes that strike a chord.

How about you? Any protagonists or charity workers here? For what causes? I expect the majority of us support the right to die but again, I wonder if any of us actively campaign for it.

I attended a Welsh Independence protest a few years ago. My opinions on the matter have changed since that day, but it was a really cool atmosphere. Just a shame I somehow lost the hoodie I bought there, cost me £40 it did ;-;;-;;-;

I've been attending a lot of protests since I'm 14 years old. Most of them were targetted at social/climate justice issues. I'm used to go there with friends, I feel sort of on my own when I go alone.

I guess that whn I'm there, it feels good to be surrounded by people who wish for the same thing as me. It gives a sense of belonging in a way... We've been gased and had to run from the police a few times (despite the protests being peaceful), but that never stopped me

I've been to probably 4 protest marches/gatherings. The last one was shortly before the recent elections in Germany, against rightwing parties and hate against others. Those were all small and very peaceful protests, not in a big city where you could expect clashes with rightwing extremists. I have no idea whether the marches had any effect, but it surely was a good feeling to see that others were feeling the same way, especially when I met some old friends there.

I have gone to one, at least. I thought about going to more recently, but I wasn't in the correct headspace.

In any case, it wasn't nothing special, and the risk was really low.
