  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Hello.
I am a female (almost 21). I have struggled with my health for a while now, so I want to make a summary of everything, whether it be for documentation or opinions. This will target mostly physical health, so if that's not your cup of tea, you're welcome to click away since this site is strongly on the mental health side.

Anyway, I'm in chronic pain; every day, most of the time, there is at least one thing on my body that is in pain. So if we start, most or maybe one, thing I remember is my skin problems, I used to starch myself since I was literally a baby. I have lots of scars. They say I have atopic dermatitis, but i am not sure, so i am getting a second opinion. But is okay? This is manageable; aside from the bullying, it brought me to the past.
The second thing is my back pain. It started with the lover part, and now it spreads to between my spatulas as well. It started when i was 14, first it was every now and then and it quickly escalated into every day pain and it has been years since i had a pain free day regarding my back. I kind of adjusted to it. I eventually went to doctor and adressed it. And its how it all started, lol. I first had to convince them for 6 months to get an x-ray; it was okay but they still sent me to physical therapy(it didn't help,p,p,p, and i was waiting for a year) In that time between i fought and got also MRI of the same area(LOWER BACK) and it showed abnormalities def not usuall for at time 18/19 year old. So thats it I'm still in pain, painkillers don't help,my cousin thats specialist said it seems i might have slight scoliosis as well.
Anyway with that said my health is rapidly decreasing and my doctors barely do shit about it so I'm slowly giving up. At the moment, I'm awful on sleep for about a year and a half. I can't sleep and when I do manage i wake up to man times , just enough to disturb my sleep before i fall asleep again . It had happened to be like 7 times in 5h before. I can even be exhausted af during day and not being able to sleep . No matter if i feel good or bad it doesnt change it. I have weekly migraines that are completely random, my memory and concentration skyrocketed down , i "by accident" bum into stuff all the time now and its really getting to me .
I also have random joint aches specially my wrist and kneees(knees now being consistent for 2 weeks) and even prescription painkillers i have do shit. Im having neurologist soon that i had to fight for few months to get to it , and now ill pay since waiting 9 months for appointment is something i cant afford to do anymore because its driving me insane.
i problly skipped some stuff but i lost track myself. I hope neurologist wont ditch me also cuz i wanna get better but its hard with such events constantly.

I am sorry for any grammar mistakes. I tried my best to fix it.
Thank u to everyone who bothered to read it this far and any advise or opinion or just kind word will be appricated.

Back pain is rough, I had it less severe but it definitely makes everything a struggle. Mine was mainly due to muscles strains and poor sleeping position, did any of the doctors identify a possible cause or think it was purely structural? Besides possible scoliosis, what were the abnormalities they saw?

Makes sense and that was my inclination that at your age it was either caused by spine curvature or poor posture if you haven't had any injuries to your back/spine. Did the doctors or pt work with you to fix your posture?

There are a couple of videos in my profile that really helped me out. I was in chronic pain for many years then I adopted their approach and now I am pretty much pain free

Got it, hopefully the neurologist can help with the pain, so you can target improving the mobility and stability of your back.
