• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

When it comes to the co tent method can it be any tent used or just one that's waterproof? I'm also wondering if a portable grill can be used and is effective. As far as I know, any grill can be used but just curious I suppose. For the charcoal itself, is lump charcoal the best to use? I wanted to use regular charcoal briquettes but I'm not sure if they'd be any good. I appreciate any help, if possible. Thanks!!! :-)

I believe it has to be a single skin tent - Malawi 2 is the tent Zanexx eventually succeeded with, after failing in tent with 2 layers. I've seen people recommend a minimum 3000mm hydrostatic head waterproof rating, which the Malawi 2 has. My only concern is seeing some negative reviews from campers, saying their Malawi 2 tent leaked!

My plan is to use chimney starter, like zanexx. I've bought 2, with 2.3kg capacity. I expect to heat the briquettes for 15-20 minutes, or as soon as they are all burning and have a greyish look. Then tip them into 2 steel buckets, and let them cool until they can go into the tent without burning it (Zanexx said they were still in the chimney starter, and would be going in the tent with them in 90mins).

Lots of people seem to recommend lump charcoal, but Zanexx used Weber briquettes, so that's what i have bought. I think Zanexx is the only one here with confirmed successful ctb with charcoal tent method. Therefore, I'm planning to follow their method, but just use more charcoal, and pray my Malawi 2 tent isn't leaky.
