  • Hey Guest,

    Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

As the title says, is there a way to avoid making any noise while performing a partial hanging? any ideas that come to mind?

For the convulsions, I could tie myself up, but I don't see it as feasible and in any case they are not the ones that worry me the most, on the other hand, I would be interested to know how I could mitigate the sound of any death rales, possible gasping or agonal breathing et similia, making them as quiet as possible;

it's the latter that worry me, I still haven't understood if they happen because the people who have attempted partial hanging have done something wrong, perhaps by compressing the trachea too much or not having applied enough pressure to the carotids and ending up dying of asphyxiation before losing consciousness, or even if adopted correctly, these sounds are unavoidable: It would be helpful if someone could clarify my thoughts on this as well;

to minimize the possible noises, I thought that I could cover my mouth with tape and put an airtight bag over my head, although that's more to make sure my brain doesn't get any oxygen, that damn bastard.

Anyway, I would like to know what you think and read your opinions on the matter.

With partial you are mostly on the floor and may flop around fo a bit. Drag a mattress over and be on it. That should reduce any noise.

what about the agonal breathing? how to avoid that or, at least, how to make it silent?

You can only do so much to keep things quiet.
Being alone is probably the most practical way.

Wait a second, are you planning to commit suicide in your room while there are other people in the house? I don't think that's a good idea. If someone finds out about you in the middle of it, you will end up disabled.. forever.

I've have this stretchy material that I put over my head that compresses my face. Like a tight legging over your face.

With partial, you are going to block the trachea no matter but it depends where you put the rope on your neck. I put the rope really high up on my neck (above hyoid bone) and that blocks the trachea so I really can't make noises chocking. If you move the rope down your neck, your airways open up and that's when you make noises when choking.

(Sorry if this doesn't make any sense)

I never really saw people making noise when they black out(talking about the hanging videos) so there's likely won't be any noise, but it's best you are fully alone(for a hour) when performing this
