I've often pondered this question, agonized at times over it (though less so now). We all know that other people's opinions shouldn't have a bearing on our actions but so often - if we really admit it - they do. It's part and parcel of dealing with survival instinct, specifically guilt.
So it begs the question: How do you think people will view you when you're gone? Immediately after you leave? How about in a year?
There's no wrong answer to this and you're not expected to hate yourself when answering.
