Quite important. It's part of the SN protocol along with antiemetics.

Very. Food in your stomach/upper intestines slows absorption of SN. This means a potentially longer, slower death which gives SI more time to kick in or higher risk that you will be found.

Also, having a non-empty stomach means there is a greater chance of vomiting. Remember that people throw up even with antiemetics.

Do not deviate from the protocol. It is there for a reason.

I've got slow emptying stomach and I believe my digestive muscles have weakened, you seem knowledgeable. Please tell me I have a hope in this method?

The average person can empty their stomach in 4-8 hours (depending on the last meal) which is why the PPH advises fasting for "several hours" before SN. If you have a slow emptying stomach, I would push your fast to 12 or even 24 hours if you can. I am no GI expert though, so I do not know how your system will handle SN. The one shining grace is that it is dissolved in water instead of a plain solid so, in theory, it will be easy for your system to move along.
