Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.
This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.
In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Same, due to past experiences I also struggle to open up to people and to trust them. I've been betrayed too many times and have had bad experiences with people…people have always just let me down. I don't need friends anyways.Zero.
No offense to anyone, but after high school, I've struggled to use the term "friend" for anyone.
Even when I add people to my "friends list" on different sites, I hesitate to really consider them friends.
I struggle to trust sufficiently and to commit enough to maintain a friendship. Hence, I consider myself to have 0 friends.
People are trying to convince me to be their friend and encourage me to define friendship by their own parameters, but to me, that doesn't leave me comfortable or satisfied.
I'd need to have known a person for years, and for there to be a mutual understanding and respect, and more importantly mutual trust. Unfortunately, that has not been the case thus far.
Please don't be like "hey, I'll be your friend", because something so spontaneous isn't a friendship to me anymore. It's an acquaintanceship and it has the potential to still be something wonderful, but please don't tell me to view it as friendship. If I ever find friends, it'll take time, possibly years for me to be able to call them friends.
