• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

This year I started to buy a lot of products from China. Some have really low quality. But with fashion. There are some designs not available in better quality. Some of the clothes don't have good quality when you feel them but they look good. And it is not expensive I have to save money.

FIrst I made jokes about people who buy from Temu and now I am a frequent customer of aliexpress. Honestly, I think there are way more possible products on aliexpress than on Temu and better quality. But the app is aggressive as fuck.

Amazon is unethical. Aliexpress probably even more. Never bought from Temu.

There is one designer pullover that Lil Peep wore. And I fucking love the pullover so fucking much. But the cheapest one I found online costed 800 Dollars. Lmao. I wish there was a fake version out there I would buy it immediately. No matter how unsafe the product was.

Whether all of these products cause cancer I don't know. Some of them don't feel good or healthy at all. But I almost killed myself this year. I am really not sure whether I will make it through the next years. And fashion gives me joy. It might bite me in the ass one day. And I will torture me over it.

My sister once bought from Temu and I warned her strictly. Months afterwards I bought way more stuff from China than her. However, she bought stuff for her kitchen from Temu. This is where I draw the line. I would never buy for example a spoon or fork from there. That's way too poisonous.

I think the higher risk things would be things like cosmetics. Substances that are absorbed by the skin. I've never heard of clothes causing cancer. Although, poor quality clothes may well shed more when being washed I guess- so, those micro fibres/ plastics are likely making their way into water systems and poisoning everyone- not just you.

In general though, my job uses a lot of chemicals/ aerosols. Very unpleasant, cancerous toxins. I take some precautions but I'm not as careful as I probably should be. I'm careful when they cause immediate irritation- some do. But long-term, the idea is to die younger anyway. A colleague used to say we'd probably die young. That's the other thing though- I don't fancy the idea of dying like that either. (Some sort of cancer I imagine is likely.) I want out before that starts to appear.

Clothes have to fit me, they have to be comfortable to wear. That's it what counts. I never cared about what "celebrities" wore and so called "designer stuff" and which marks celebrities "advertised". This is still the case today.

when it comes to this kind of stuff, its a mixed bag for me. i hate the idea of owning anything "contaminated": it feels dirty. however if i were 100% unaware of anything, and got cancer out of the blue, id probably welcome it.

ive already had a few fantasies where im suddenly diagnosed with cancer- only a few years, or months to live. i'll reject treatment, and everyone will feel sorry for me... but i have an excuse to do everything ive wanted to without holding back, or simply relax and enjoy my last moments in complete peace. it seems sort of nice.

I avoid anything that could give me degenerative diseases. I have seen people die from cancer first-hand and it's not fun. If I'm going to go out, I want it to be by my own method which will be faster and involve considerably less pain.

I'm also not so much worried about cancer as much as wastefulness. I'm ok with not having what's "fashionable' or what necessarily fits me the best if the clothes I buy will last me for several years (or more if I can mend them). Temu is China's way of selling their over-produced, literal garbage to the rest of the world. It's pathetically shoddy quality and grossly unregulated because that's how things are over there. Instead of keeping all of that stuff in-country, they have invented a way to sucker the rest of the world into buying it.
