Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.
This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

I think it can be difficult to feel validated anywhere online, including here if you're new or not great at making inroads in terms of communication. I'm bad at it myself. But I do get the occasional PM or whatever that makes me feel better. There is no elitism here or anything though. It's just a case of dive in and say what you feel. We're really all strangers to each other, and that's partially what makes SS very pleasant and low threshold.
