• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

Is there a way to ensure the police find my body after I hang myself and not a family member. There is an ideal location in my home instead of somewhere outside such as a wooded area however this obviously means a family member will find my body first.

I was thinking about sending a delayed text message to the police, set for a few hours later after I commit the act when no one is home and I'm no longer alive. This would allow the police to be alerted to my location and situation so they could find me and bring my body down before any of my family arrive home.

I'm worried the delayed text message may be automatically screened for certain terms like 'hanging' and the police be tipped off before I have a chance to finish the job and be rescued too early and become some sort of vegetable.

Any input would be appreciated.

I expect that the text message system you use will not broadcast the message anywhere or do any screening until it is actually sent, but i don't know exactly what software you will use and suppose you are right that there is some small risk. I'm more afraid of a bug or user error that sends the message early

My plan is fairly similar: I intend to do it in an isolated location outside and have scheduled messages on two different platforms (for redundancy) to go to some people i know, and it will be up to them to contact the police. I think i will use protonmail and telegram. I hadn't thought about contacting the police directly and not sure if i have a way to do that. I would do it at home if i had an anchor point inside, but i live alone and i don't know how much of a window before anyone gets home in your case. Doing it outside worries me too because you never know if someone will happen to walk by in some crazy coincidence. Pros and cons all around...

Would be nice it it were possible to find an airbnb with an anchor point

I have looked at the google messages app which is just an alternative SMS app, after you type a message you can long press the send button and it gives you an option to delay sending the message until a set time of your choice. I believe in my country you can contact the police by text instead of call in emergency situations where you cannot call them for any reason.

On second thought an isolated location outside might be a better option for me, I don't want to inflict the trauma of a family member finding me and I also want them to still be able to exist in this house without the thought of me committing the final act here. It will require me to find a suitable location and test the rope but will be worth it for the above reasons.

Again like you say I also worry about the chance of someone coming across me too early but hopefully if its done in an isolated enough area at night it will mitigate this risk.

You can send a scheduled email to your local police department of when and where to find your body. I would wait until your family goes on a trip and leave doors unlocked. Assuming you are going to do this at home.
