  • Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

I want to get help but i don't want my parents to find out or have to miss school or something. Can't afford a psychologist
i honestly don't even know what my suicidality stems from so i'd really need to talk to someone for a while but i have no clue where to even start

I've found talking to ChatGPT to be surprisingly helpful. It can even write you really touching letters.

this depends a lot on what part of the world you live in. you said you can't afford a psychologist versus 'i dont want to talk to a psychologist' so im assuming youre at least open to the idea of formal treatment.

i can only speak to how things work in the US so sorry if all of this is irrelevant :( we have community mental health clinics which are where lots of people go if they cant afford or access treatment otherwise. theyre government-funded so some of them completely suck and others dont. it usually has more to do with who they hire than how much money they have tbh.

seeing a doctor or a licensed therapist will go through your health insurance (or have to be paid out-of-pocket). you didnt mention how old you are so idk how likely it is that youre on your parents insurance policy or not, but if you are, they can find out that way.

sorry this is all so complicated :c people throw out that "reach out! ask for help!" sentiment a lot without even knowing how the process works and how it can be really hard for people to get help in the first place.
