  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I have some scars on my knee from a couple months ago. Now that summer is coming up I realize they were on a very precarious spot and when wearing shorts they are easily viewable. They are somewhat faded, from a glance you might be able to denote they might just be scrapes but if you really look there's a lot of small and pronounced ones, and some of them are very dark. I've been putting lotion/vaseline on them every day and although I feel they've faded from what they used to look like they are still present and I need them gone. Any advice on how to make them leave quicker?

I can't cover them up because it gets very hot especially in my room so wearing shorts is a must. I also cant lie about them because it's obvious what they are. I've considered getting a knee brace/wrap and faking an injury until they fade more but I don't want to risk parents checking what's wrong lol

Thank you for reading/helping

i'm no profesionnal but i think it mostly depends on the severity, how deep they are, and time
or laser therapy maybe ? but that'll cost a lot

I forgot to add this, sorry. They're not very deep. Very surface level, probably barely breaching skin. But like I said they are dark and noticeable. if left alone for a long time they'd probably fade by themselves, no laser therapy, but I want them gone soon

i know medicated creams can help for superficial scars, maybe you could try that, you could go see a doctor, if you are in a country where health care is not too expensive

I think I'll do that. I can't visit a doctor because they would tell my parents. But I have some acne scars, I can use that as an excuse to try OTC creams and see if that works on the sh ones

Vitamin E / b12 sprays or gel
( don't rember the brand name but it's a mix of vitamins worked good for acne scars )

new skin - scar fade
( helped bring back natural skin color on my knee bike crash )

Bio - Oil
This one's pricey but helps with scars and stretch marks
used it a couple times but it is expensive
Used it on my wrist you can still see the scar but it matches my skin color and it's not has bumpy

Also your injury is still fresh... needs a little time to heal if your always walking and running etc ..

Don't use Vaseline in the sun literally cook your skin.
Sun screen with vitamins

if you cant afford things like bio oil, bc they essentially just moisturise the scars you can just use unscented moisturisers like aqueos cream (i wouldnt personally recommend vaseline as that can cause them to dry out quicker/become dependent on it, id always recommend water based moisturisers). the key is to massage them to promote healing and reduce the risk of them becoming large and bumpy and prevent further complications like tightness and pain (i have two big surgery scars so i researched this but im not an expert)

also for short term coverage you could try foundation to make them less noticeable? i would also encourage you to wear sunscreen especially over scars as they are very delicate and the sun can damage them. hope this helps <3
