• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

i often enjoy the actual process of doing things. but i get disturbed if i think too much about what other things i want to do.

i have so many things i want to do, so many games i want to play, seriously, a big backlog, and on top of that, i need to keep myself afloat. every time i think about every little detail about something, it gives me so much stress. but i know that if i take my time to ignore all these thoughts, i really enjoy pretty much anything i do.

i tried so many times to work through these thoughts, and i just couldn't, especially for the past 2 years. i could've been in an arguably better place but i failed so much because of it. it's one of the main reasons i want to ctb - i can't solve this, no matter how hard i try.

Maybe try meditation, the idea behind it is to start seeing your thoughts as clouds that move through the sky that is your mind and will eventually pass so there's no need to latch onto them. Over time you'd become better at it with practice. Idk, I need to go back to doing it myself.

hm. i'll try it again, but i've tried many times and i got distracted again and again, my mind very quickly veers off into daydream if there's no stimuli.

Meditation takes a while to develop a good habit. Mind wandering is very normal and expected. Remember to be gentle with yourself. I found yoga to be a better option as the movement was enough of a distraction to keep my mind from racing while yoga still focuses on breathing. Can relate though!

Also, do you have access to any professional resources? A mental health professional may be able to help you figure out a strategy on how to handle your racing thoughts.

hm, there's some things that make me lose track of myself. as uncommon as this is - i like washing dishes, because it gets everything off my mind, i can focus on just that. any repetitive task for me is meditative, but simply sitting doesn't cut it. when i used to own a bicycle, i drove around with it wherever without thinking.

that's partly why i like playing highly repetitive games - difficult platformers with quick restart, tetris, e.t.c.

Well, you need a better flow on the project you wanna do. You could set a space with certain theme, add some decorations and music on the background. Make sure you enjoy the process by being comfortable in your body- make a snack if you have to have a break, then just continue. Make sure you have good experience with the thing, so you wanna continue it latter.

good ideas. i think it has to be distanced away from electronics. sadly i moved from my home country, all the lego and other toys were left there. but i find drawing pretty enjoyable

these are good ideas, i tried to make what i like to call "attachments", i would start working on something while wearing something specific (could be a bracelet for example), and that bracelet would indicate that i need to be working on that thing. sadly i never got as far as to make it work. every time i get a good session, i feel too excited and the next day, i feel terrible about it. not sure what it is
