• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

most people are conflict averse. Of course not all people are averse to conflict, some relish in it, for example some people love to argue over the internet.. and some people love to say purposely offensive things just to get attention. But still the majority will tend to go along with the popularly held opinion even if not nessacarily right. Even if we dont nessacarily agree with it, we might act like we do, because we dont to be ostracized by our communties for "stirring the pot". because voicing any dissenting opinions is bound to get you some backlash alot of people just dont say what they truly mean. I heard there is a evolutionary reason behind it, is that true? It would make sense cause we are pack animals. so we're probably wired to avoid casuing conflict so we dont get kicked out of the "tribe" so to speak. this is why when you go into a online community, you notice they all talk very similar to eachother. Using the same lingo, phrases, and style of texting. Its like subconsciously...we echo each other. We assimilate subconsciously to fit in. Well most do. For autistic people its alot harder to assimilate which is why you see austistic people often not being very well liked in their "community" or "tribe". autistic people are.kinda like a case study of this being true. And um im not saying that in a offensive way LMAO i myself am autistic so i know best. because before i learned how to mask my weirdness around others i was constantly being treated like i was a weirdo. time and time again, autistic people get called cringe or weird for acting out of line with the group's thinking and that's really sad. Cuz its like we always have to hide our true selves around others. aside from a select number of people, i dont trust anyone enough to be able to open up to them and like be my true, uncensored self.

That's an interesting point. But if autistic people had such a hard time fitting in, how did they survive in the old days when fitting in was essential due to scarce resources?

Idk that's a good question. Some guess alot of autistic people probably were exalted from the tribe. They either had to find a way to survive on their own or they died. Or maybe they found a way to do "away with themselves" so to speak. Even in the old days people were committing suicide.
