A few days ago I met a guy and we've been chatting since, I really like him and he has helped me through some bad times while I'm here at vacation. I feel like I have developed feelings but I know that he probably doesn't like me back this way. I just want to stop feeling like I need to love him, I just want to be friends but my dumb brain wants to be loved. Please someone help me how to accept and make my brain realize that I'm not in love, I'm just thankful because he is very kind. I hate love a lot, I don't want to get my hopes up and I don't even think it's actually love that I am feeling, I think I've just been starved for human contact, thanks for everyone replying and helping, I really need to get it into my brain that this will NOT be a romance.
