• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I've been having sleeping problems for the past 2 months and I can really feel how it's affecting my overall health. I just don't understand why it's happening, I'm doing everything to prevent this. I eat healthy, drink plenty of water, exercise during the day, avoid screen time at least one hour before going to sleep, but it's always the same. I'm tired as fuck but I just won't fall asleep and I roll around in bed for literal hours before my body is just to exhausted to continue and finally decides it's time to get some sleep. But even when it happens I wake up after like 2 hours, still tired and feeling like shit. I even went to the doctor and got some prescripted pills, but guess what? They don't fucking work either. I just don't know what to do, I have to go to work tommorow and I'm probably gonna be late again because of this bullshit. Fuck my life.

Most of the time the reasons for disturbed sleep are psychological (this is purely anecdotal evidence, take it with a pinch of salt), so no wonder the pills didn't help. Of course, I'm saying this assuming that the pills were something like melatonin or something akin to that. If you were prescribed something that would numb your mind, then yes, it could've helped.

The moral of the story is that sleep problems are no joke. The saddest thing is that sleep problems directly have an impact on mental health, it's like a vicious cycle that just repeats. As easy as that sounds, the best solution is to simply get your mind hooked on something, like a movie you're looking forward to, a book, a video game, anything really.

Not sure how they're called in english, but in polish it's Nasen.
Nasen is known as Ambien or zolpidem. They are considered prety strong thow there are 2 doses: 6.25 or 12.5 mg. If they dont work they should be given together with a CBT phsyclogical treatment. I take them regularly for few years and at nights that they dont work i add some benzos usualy 0.5 mg of clonex.
But the best advise I can give you is if there is stress in your life like work load or studying load try to reduce the load and by that reduce sress. Wish i would have done that on time.

Yeah, that's probably the case. I'm usually stressed throughout the day, but I can't really help it. I'm such a fucking overthinker that it's not even funny.

That's classic zolpidem, a hypnotic. I've had the same problem with waking up. They help with falling asleep faster, but it's possible to wake up many times still. Do you also get other medications or have you been drinking alcohol a lot lately?

I don't take anything else and I don't drink. It's probably because of huge stress just like Negev said.

Yeah, probably psychological although you may also have sleep apnea. But also a quick warning: if you take Nasen for longer than 3 weeks, you may have even more problem falling asleep when you stop taking the pills. If they don't work I suggest don't take them at all to avoid creating more problems. And then talk to your doctor again and say the pills don't work or that your problem is STAYING asleep not falling asleep, and say you worry it's sleep apnea or something else.

I don't recommend the pills. Eventually, your sleep is going to work out if it's normal insomnia and not from neurotoxicity, etc.... I've been through this before. Some things to help. Exercise, warm shower and hour or so before bed. Trying not to be bothered about it too. The more bothered you are, the harder it will be. But if course we are all bothered by less sleep. But it can pass.

Sleep is so important and having bad quality sleep or not sleeping at all puts so much stress on the body and the mind. I wish I had any advice on how to sleep better. Hopefully we can all rest.
