  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Fucking a...
Tonight I ran into a neighbor I haven't met before.
She asked me what my niece's name is,
and i was so anxious that I fucking forgot my new niece's name.
I told her, "Oh...I'm having memory problems right now..."

I feel so fucking stupid.
Totally trying to stop myself from beating myself up over this.
Blah.

It's plagued me in various situations as well.
If I'm stressed in a more secluded setting I can handle it easily but larger social functions put my mind into flight or fight
response which makes it super hard to give coherent answers. Once the dust settles my mind starts producing several good ideas on how I could've better handled it though.
Thanks brain, really helpful.

I've been in a lot of situations like that and its horrible! You replay the situation over and over again thinking of all the things you could've said instead. Your neighbour probably never even thought anything about it but I know it's hard to not beat yourself up over stuff like that.

I felt this yesterday as I attempted to join a protest. I arrived and there was a huge, peaceful crowd. I panicked, and just dropped off the drinks and snacks I brought. I'm glad I even managed to get that far, but really wanted to protest with my neighborhood. If the organizing continues, I hope I can find a way to get more involved.

I know this very well. I suffer from social anxiety, I'm not able to speak to people irl. Sucks.

Yeah...You're right. She probably didn't think anything of it.

It fucking sucks. Feels so awkward and makes you feel alien to the group.

Yup, exactly...it plays over and over again in my mind.
As someone else said, you're probably right...she most likely didn't think anything of it.

I"m sorry this happened. It sucks when fear suddenly kicks in at the last minute.
Kudos to you for getting to the protest, though.

It does suck. I've tried so much to alleviate it, but nothing seems to work.
