I hate being so anal about alcohol

My aunt was kind enough to get me my alcohol tonight on her way back from SC without me knowing but it wasn't the amount I wanted. I thanked her. It was incredibly sweet of her to do that for me. She got me a 12 pack of lemon-ade-Rita's along with 6 extra cans (which is fine - 8% APV).

Problem is, the cans itself are only 8oz. 24oz per 3 cans totallying 6 24oz. It's so hard to get and stay drunk nowadays. I'm so use to my 8 25oz. 2 extra cans with 6 more ounces makes a difference. I would drink right now but she didn't tell me until after I ate. I gotta eat on an empty stomach to even catch a decent buzz.

It's my problem not hers.

Thanks for understanding. I'm not alone on this one. Glad you're able to fight those demons now.

Non-Alcoholics don't really get what it feels like to build up a tolerance. It's one of those things you have to go though to understand. My aunt never drank an alcoholic beverage in her life and she's almost 60. She never had that addictive personality.

When it comes to alcohol, I'm anal down to the ounce!

Not an alcoholic but I drink strictly for the buzz when I do, so high APR is a must, and of all the alcohols a beer buzz is best it feels more of a high than does wine or whiskey. So understood.

For me it has always been hard liquor. I have nothing against beer. I prefer Michelob Ultra. But if I'm drinking I guarantee you will see me pulling out a fifth of 100 proof Evan Williams. Or on occasion Jose Cuervo gold. I'm a hardcore whiskey drinker. If I decide to drink strictly to get drunk, then I'll be hitting that Evan pretty hard. I've built up a hell of a tolerance over the years, so it's not like a few shots is going to do the trick.

I drank a lot of whiskey and vodka in 2015. Sometimes id go on 3 day binges with my dad. Then I decided to strictly stick to beer with high alcohol content. I drink vodka on occasions. I actually prefer the harder stuff but it would probably accelerate my alcoholism.

I know exactly what you mean. I like those big 25oz can's of Budweiser because they're less than $3 and you get more bang for your buck.
