I have more social anxiety around my family members than I do any acquaintances or strangers. I absolutely positively can't say some things to them which makes communication impossible. I do not have any hope of it getting better.

I feel the same way! I always found it weird how I felt more comfortable talking around complete strangers rather than talking when my family is around. I always feel as though my family is critiquing everything I say.
