• If you haven't yet, we highly encourage you to check out our Recovery Resources thread!
  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

i was watching, listening to what all of them put in their notes, thinking about how familiar it sounds. then it got to the 'dear suicidal me' section. i thought what if when im feeling good i write that down so that when im feeling bad i can read and remember that i did honestly feel that way. and then i wondered, yes but just like when im feeling good and i believe it, i feel just as strongly the other way. why dont i also write down what im feeling when im not ok. which led to the conclusion of, why dont i write notes back and forth between the 2 different frames of mind. maybe i can figure something out.

anyway thats my stupid thought, maybe it will help someone else out :)

Strangely, I've tried this and it actually works. Write a question to yourself and then see who answers and so on.

It's worthwhile even just to try, as it essentially means you're giving permission for the disparate/disconnected parts of your self to communicate and maybe connect, in theory at least.

Edit: you might need the help of intermediaries and/or advocates in order to get communication between parts that can't or don't want to talk to one another for whatever reason. Still worth trying though.

It sounds like a really good idea. When things get bleak, it can be difficult to gauge where normal is.
