• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

So it wasn't much, but I just spent about an hour cleaning up some online accounts, in particular my flickr account, which had loads of images from my crazed hypersexuality manic phase that led to my demise. There were many images I wouldn't want anyone to see so I've just deleted them all. Like I said, it's not a big step, but its my first concrete step toward putting my things in order. Mixed emotions of course. But mainly it improves my mood, perhaps because it makes real that I'm now taking action toward something that would end my suffering.

I'm originally from the states but moved here to Thailand about four months ago. (Having destroyed my old life, the only position in my field I could find was here.)

Nice job, yes I know that relief of finally starting to take that definitive action towards ctb.

It's amazing how many accounts and things we accumulate over the years. I don't have any social media accounts so that was easy, but it took ages to close all my offline accounts such as loyalty cards etc, just to try and stop the sea of mail that people would get with my name on it otherwise.

yes, there's loads more work like this to do I'm afraid. But having taken the first step should help me tackle the rest of this work

I found every account I closed brought me more and more peace as I knew I was moving closer, so I hope the process goes smoothly for you.

There's no way I'm going to properly terminate all these accounts. The bureaucracy would drive me mad. I won't even cancel my internet service.

I'm dealing only with the major stuff, and it's bad enough as it is...

I had no job at the time so it helped me pass the time until I could leave, lol, but yes it is maddening at times.

Hell I cancelled my internet service as I left and they said 'Nah, you need to give 14 days notice so it will be active for the next 14 days' - um, it's not my house anymore, you're giving the new owners free internet and the ability to rack up phonecall charges on my account because of some stupid clause in the contract???

So yes, some of the bureaucracy was hard to deal with.

I'm glad you took this step and hope you are able to get closer to peace down the road. For me, I'm not too picky over cleaning up my online accounts, and just cutting off everything (I'd probably raise suspicions this way but also) since I'd like to have something about me immortalized after my death, but it's just personal preference here. I'd figure it's easier for me to just do what I need to do, don't overdo the rituals and just ctb.
