  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

for a bit of background, i've been on medication my whole life for things like depression +anxiety, ASD, PTSD. I've been on Zoloft for probably 4 years and i'm now at 200mg (Max dose)

I want more than anything to come off it, but I fear more than anything to have my life melt down because of it.

life feels so much more flat than I know it can be, and I would love more than anything to just not have to deal with any of that.

is anyone around here feeling this way? has anyone tried this? what happened when you stopped taking it?

You should always consult with your doctor. Quiting on your own can be dangerous. I quit Zoloft years ago because it wasn't helping me and side effects were too strong. I was on a very high dose and quit cold turkey. Do not recommend it. You need to taper it off slowly, especially after taking it for 4 years.

Why don't you want to take it anymore?

For me i just get paranoid or i forget to take my medication.

You should ask a professional about this.
However, according to what I've read, the way to quit a med is doing little by little.

For instance, if you're taking 200mg of whatever, you should start taking 175mg for some days, then 150mg, then 125mg and so on.
