These so called pro-lifers all over IRL and even throughout the Internet don't care about how the suicidal are treated and would do anything to keep them alive, even if it isn't in their (the suicidal's) best interests. Fucking hell, these people are disgusting and sanction suffering.

Ironically enough, these people would rather suicidal people hate them, get angry at them, but if the same people committed heinous crimes or did something that society disapproves greatly, these pro-lifers would want them dead in a heartbeat. Talk about double standards.

I just don't get it. Oh and for bonus points, what about the suicidal just not changing their mind but is still hellbent on dying? I guess they still want to keep them alive just so they can feel good about themselves huh?

I understand your pain, however I like to tell myself that people who say things like this... at least are honest enough to acknowledge the pain they may cause by intervening. A lot of people are naive to how someone might even feel or be set in their ways and that's a great fear of mine when someone starts "caring" is that they'll try to show compassion but fail miserable at empathising.

I think a lot of people without these experiences don't realise how horrible intervention can be either and they're really convinced that they're doing good, that's the view everyone around parrots so it's hard to expect "normal" people to really understand. I try more to understand someone's intentions, if they really care then I can write their actions off as good but misguided.

Yes, I definitely believe that some (who are genuine but still pro-life) are terribly misguided and even though they are doing a 'good' thing according to their morals and society's values. I just wish there was a way to stop them from intervening or even make it very difficult for them to stop me while increasing my chances of success.

Exactly, and I think part of it is due to "it requires a lot of effort" so it's easier to virtue signal and feel good about doing something (even though it's jack shit) up and including sticking it to the suicidal. This reminds me a lot of this thread on reddit.

Yeah fuck them for imposing their morality and ethics into law, science, and other people. I mean it's one thing to believe in something for oneself and not impose/affect others, but to push it to other people, that's imposing and infringing upon another's will.
