Have you tried setting dates before? They don't seem to work for me, and for a number of others.

I'm trying to set dates or at least a deadline but it's annoying trying to pinpoint an exact date, things can always pop up or change that make it difficult. Dates haven't worked for me before but with any luck I'll be able to stick to my deadline at least, maybe a deadline rather than a date would work for you?
Dates aren't necessary though, the important thing is that you're certain you want to ctb and have the means to do it properly. Personally I think you just know when it's time to go but I guess it's different for each person.

I don't think of it in terms of dates, I just know I've come to the end of a lonnnng long road and it will be whichever day that I get up and it happens. I've got some bits and bobs of paperwork to sort other than that I'm just drifting through til the right time grabs me by the scruff of the neck and says "I'm here"

I feel the same way, I think that the instinct for survival and the guilt for my mother is what prevents me from planning more seriously a specific date.

I am so beyond empty, I'm just wasting away.
I understand the need to commit using a date but rest assured that unless you're dodging something life ruining, there should be no pressure on you. Even then, actually. It's ok to be in limbo, as you will know when death has come for you. In the meantime, put your feet up here and hang out with us, sif. Hugs
