• Hey Guest,

An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.

Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.

What will happen in an inquest into the death from suicide? Is there any way I can make the process easier for my loved ones?

My plan is to write a fairly detailed note to the coroner explaining why and that I had no assistance—that it was a long time coming and no one will be shocked.

That is genius.

You can write a letter, that it isn't their mistake, you make a suicide.

I attended my partners inquest in August. Write a letter stating why you have chosen to CTB, when you did it and how (parts of the letter deemed relavent will be read out so be mindful of that) regardless of the letter people will have to give a statement, ie parents, doctor, anyone involved with you in the months leading up to your death. From those giving a statement some may be selected to go on the stand and testify under oath (i did, my partners dad, the police coroner) other statements were read out (doctor, maid who found her in the hotel). Your family will be given a copy of the autopsy report to keep. Thats about it

Thanks for the detailed reply, I'm sorry to hear about your partner though and I hope she's found peace now. What kind of things are said in statements?

I was asked about our relationship if there were any problems, what she was like day to day, what she was like when she was down. Did i have any indication of her intention. Bits of my statement read out about what happened the days before she died and i had to say yes its true or no its not. Basically the inquest gives family the chance to question, go over what happened, how and why. From all that the judge will summerise so a cause of death can be put down in writing for the death certificate providing no serious questions or new statements come to light during the procedding.
