I seem to be developing insomnia,had a major fight with my wife last night and it's 5 am and I haven't even slept at all.

I think that's a normal response. Insomnia, I think, is a longer term affliction. A stressful event resulting in lack of sleep is ok. You'll recover. Hang in there. If you can buy doxylamine it can help to induce sleep. It's an over the counter medication here, so no prescription is required. Talk to a pharmacist they can offer advice. If they try and direct you to herbal teas and supplements... they're not effective.
