An update on the OFCOM situation: As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. OFCOM, the UK’s communications regulator, has singled out our community, demanding compliance with their Online Safety Act despite our minimal UK presence. This is a blatant overreach, and they have been sending letters pressuring us to comply with their censorship agenda.
Our platform is already blocked by many UK ISPs, yet they continue their attempts to stifle free speech. Standing up to this kind of regulatory overreach requires lots of resources to maintain our infrastructure and fight back against these unjust demands. If you value our community and want to support us during this time, we would greatly appreciate any and all donations.
So my therapist is signing me up for intensive dbt (did I remember that right?). What is this? To be more specific how does it differ from non intensive? Is it as scary as it sounds? Am I that broken the first time I go to get help they go straight to antipsychotics and intensive therapy?? (ok that last one was a bit rhetorical but if you want to include as to whether or not you feel that's normal, that's cool too)
Are you doing an intensive course? That could mean like a short period of time, cramming a lot of skills into a shorter timeframe. Or it could mean going to classes more than once a week again depends on the amount of weeks. Tbh DBT usually ppl see as "intense" bc the programs are like 6-12 months along (at least in my experience). But really its like ur learning a new skill, or going to the gym, you gotta do it repeatedly to build a habit so you get a bunch of worksheets and homework and it means that ur talk therapy (if u do that too) gets ~freed~ up to talk about your life rather than just constantly learning skills all the time.
