  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

The Boltzmann brain hypothesis has little to nothing to do with the physical processes of the actual brain. It started as a thought experiment in the the 1800's having to do with emergent consciousness and concepts of thermodynamics.

It has regained traction in the last few decades as the idea intersects with multiverse and simulation theories. My interpretation of it is that it suggests we simply "blipped" into existence. All history is backstory filler content for the simulation. Since you "blipped" into existence once, chances are you will again.

This is a good primer on the subject.

If I understand correctly it's basically hypothesising we spawned into existence like an NPC in a video-game who is convinced his memories are real ~ yet they are not.

This sounds like a spin-off of simulation theory ~ entertaining to think about but probably not true. Sometime things just happen like this planet being capable of sustaining life.

"Why me?" The cosmos barely bothers to respond with "why not……?".
