  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

No. The angle and force needed is impossible for a human to exert on themselves. It is not even a matter of will but physics. Your own neck muscles can not move your head fast enough. You most likely can not get the angle right on your own.

Despite what you might think from popular media, snapping a neck is difficult and takes training to learn (think military special forces).

No. It's extremely hard to even break someone else's neck. Never believe what you see in movies.

You might not even die from it. The human body is incredibly resilient. Unfortunately for those of us determined to ctb.

It's so weird how we are trapped in our own selves, and there is a will to die and also a will to survive simultaneously. It's like we all have two personalities. Even our brains are dual spheres.

Contrary to what some may say, it's not too difficult to break someone's neck. You need to understand how leverage works. There is a specific range of angles through which one would need to impart enough force to dislocate the spine, but it is certainly possible. It's not entirely impossible to do this but you would need to produce enough leverage, which is a force multiplier, to shift the spine in such a way as to crush blood vessels and nerves and cause death (or paralysis or other serious injury).
