  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

im a college student who goes most days without talking to a single person. school work is draining. i have terrible stomach issues and health problems that make life hard. I have no friends and noone that genuienly cares about me in my family too. The rare occassion i find someone i like i push them away because i feel like i dont desrve it. I see no purpoes in going on. I just hate myself. Im still a virgin and feel repulsed to sex cuz of previous traumatic incidents so I dont think i could ever be in a relationship. I have nothing.

Is it from anxiety? If so, I get that too. It seems like nothing helps with it, not even tums.

Seems to be the reality for most of us here.

To answer your question, possibly. There's a lot of variables. If you're being overworked, I don't think there's anything wrong with dropping a few classes so you can focus on one or two instead of 4 at a time. If you're just constantly thinking about how lonely you are, then I have nothing to help with. I'm in the same boat as you when it comes to that.

idk if its from anxiety but im diagnosed with gerd and take medication for it and it hasnt eradicated the problem and i dont know if i should keep hope that it will. do you see a doctor?
im not really overworked cuz i am on disability with school cuz of my stomach i just dont enjoy working i guess. makes me feel dumb and its tedious cuz it just makes the loneliness worse. i cant drop classes cuz i really need to finish school. idk how to make the loneliness stop either.

Do you experience anxiety at all? If so, is it intermittent? chronic? persistent? situational? Is it mild? moderate? severe? debilitating?

The body's stress response to anxiety -- depending on its severity and persistence -- can wreak havoc. Among other things, it can increase acid production in the stomach as well as increase sensitivity to pain, worsening your response to baseline stomach acid activity.

is it realistically possible for me to get better?
Likely at a minimum, it'll be possible to at least reduce your suffering. How much "better" or "improvement" you could make in your situation depends on a wide variety of factors.

What I would see for you is for you to go to your doctor to get screened for possible mental health diagnoses and, if there is an identifiable problem, engage in a treatment program. If a doctor isn't an option right now, you could see if your college offers any counselling services or if anyone there could tell you of any community programs or organizations that might be helpful to you. Maybe there are group support meetings or opportunities to talk to professionals without necessarily having to make it "medically official."

If engaging with other people is flatly too stressful for you to do right now, then I'd go to Google and look for self-guided programs for improving mental and emotional well-being. I've seen people mention having success using ChatGPT for this purpose as well.
