Is it worth buying SN even if you're not imminently suicidal?

I'd appreciate input from anyone who is in a similar position and has bought is or debating buying SN.

I'm sort of in recovery right now, but I do still very much want to die and long-term I am tentatively planning to CTB and if my (temporary) recovery plans fall through I'd like to have reasonably quick access to some means to CTB. The only thing I am really concerned about is getting a wellness check at some point in the future as a result.

I should add that I could potentially buy a gun, but I'm not sure I could follow through with it since it's much less passive as a method.

I'd say absolutely, based on the fact that it's getting better known about by the authorities and can only become even more challenging for a private retail customer to obtain.
As far as any checks are concerned, one thing is for sure, they're not about to become less frequent or thorough as the authorities seek to make any access to this product unavailable.

Seconding @SVEN, buy it now and buy more than you would theoretically need. It will only get harder and harder to access.

In my opinion, yes. I have a fear that SN may end up becoming as inaccessible as N is one day due to the amount of effort that pro lifers go to restrict relatively peaceful suicide methods like this. Even if you don't use it (which is fine), it'd be safer to at least by your side so that you have that sense of control

Yes totally. One reason is what the others said that it may become harder to get. My second reason is that I feel randomly suicidal a lot of times but then it is kinda goes away and I hate that. I would like to be able to kill myself when I feel that way. My sn is comin.

Having SN on hand would likely result in some relief and calmness ect, even if every other aspect of life remains unchanged, and even if you never end up using it.

I agree with the other replies, getting it to avoid future restriction makes a lot of sense

A while ago I considered getting SN but decided against it. I proceeded to be stressed with the knowledge i couldnt CTB whenever I wanted, and now SN is much harder to get.

However note if you are an impulsive person who is likely to attempt ctb impulsively, then getting SN would be risky and best not to.

I bought from IC before they went down because it was obvious SN was receiving more and more attention and would likely be harder to get in future. I don't feel like I can go till my Dad does- which could even be years from now but, it made me feel calmer to know I was prepared.

The only concern I would say is if people are very impulsive. There have been instances of people just taking a pinch on impulse which always seems massively risky to me. I don't think it's a good substance to self harm with.

Yes i recovered and did well for about a year and I always kept my SN and still have it. Even going through a better time I have always had the thought. If shit hits the fan at least I have that option.

You can have you method prepared even if you're not suicidal. You don't have to use ti but in the case it becomes necessary (changed circumstances, health issues ... whatever) you are prepared and you have your choice without the need to start acquiring the stuff you need.

I think soon this will be a controlled substance out of reach for domestic users, only available to companies.

You dont have to use it, it has a shelf life for about 3 years i think. Mine says it's valid til 2030 (i believe unopen), i was manufactured this year.

I have more active plans to die in February or March. But they could be delayed as my resolve weakens with the extreme guilt of hurting my family. I think to myself each extra day I stay is my gift to them. It's not a question of if but rather when.

I am buying SN in January for several reasons. What if the source gets compromised and I wished I had bought? What if some sort of disaster happens and I need it on hand? (+ account for time it takes to fast.) I've heard that shipping can take upwards of one month. I feel safer having my method on hands even if my plans are delayed.

If I got a wellness check say I could say I'm starting a sausage making business (could prob buy a cheapo kit on Amazon or something too for extra evidence.) Then I could talk about all the future things I'm looking forward to and try to genuinely thank the police officer for their concern. I could even act surprised that people used this for lethal means.

I live with others, so what I'm most worried about is them getting worried about and very suspicious of me due to one. I don't know what they would do, but I don't want to find out.

I really wish I'd known about N when it was still available. It is my preferred method above all others. I would find it very comforting to have for just-in-case.

I'm still kicking myself for not ordering N before it became impossible to get. So I ordered SN because it is getting harder to get.

I was wondering the same, it might become unavailable so better get it in advance. I don't have a lot of money, also never bought anything on dark web or whatever but I guess I'll have to do some research after reading the messages here. Just in case my life doesn't get better and I won't have access to other methods
