• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I don't think misery is avoidable in life. human life involves misery, whether it be short-term or long-term.

Misery is the shadow that lingers at the edges of existence, touching every life in some form. It is the ache of unmet needs, the weight of relentless struggles, and the quiet despair of dreams deferred. It pervades the human experience, threading through fleeting moments of joy, as if to remind us that contentment is fragile and transient.

It comes in countless forms: the physical pain of illness, the emotional toll of loneliness, the existential dread of life's meaning—or lack thereof. Misery is universal, yet deeply personal; shared by all, yet uniquely carried.

Some find ways to navigate its depths, finding strength in resilience or purpose in helping others. For others, misery becomes an unbearable burden, an unyielding force that drains color and hope from life.

Perhaps the greatest cruelty of misery is its inevitability, an inescapable thread woven into the fabric of existence. But even within this grim truth, humanity clings to slivers of light: moments of connection, the beauty of a fleeting sunset, or the solace of being understood.

No. It is not. Misery month in and out or year in and out is not to be accepted as a fact of life. Only those who like it for some sick reason will make excuses or act as if you should. Only you can decide if living in misery is what's good for you. It sure as hell is not for me.

It is worth it when there's a chance of happiness/love. I can't find either currently

Maybe for someone out there. Maybe when there's hope. It's just not worth it to me.

I've felt the agony of misery too long in my life, more than I can continue to handle. No I don't believe this is worth living at all, and I've wanted out many, many times.
My father, bless his heart, keeps trying to convince me I can make this miserable life worth living but I don't see any hope. I don't see how anything could make this existence worth it.
Pardon my rant.

This is truth. Very well written
No it's not worth it. It amazes me how so many love life no matter how bad their circumstances may be.

To me it's always been a question of net gain - whether the good experiences I have outweigh the cost of slogging through miserable times to get there. Personally, it's not worth it. Every good thing that has happened to me I have paid for tenfold with the misery after it is inevitably ripped away from me.
