• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Like, really, is there any fundamental reason why a human should live? Is there something that every human should be living for? Family and friends can leave you, and you can leave them too. At the end of the day, it's just you and yourself. You can pretty much lose everything since everything in this life is lasting for a very short time

Fundamentally, there may not be a universal reason why anyone should live. But individuals often find or create their reasons, even when life seems indifferent or hostile.

The value of life is personal and subjective, often shaped by experiences, beliefs, and choices. While impermanence can make life seem meaningless, it can also be what makes every moment more precious, knowing that it won't last forever.

Life is only worth living if you can meet your most basic needs without struggling and if you're not suffering from some terminal illness. But if you constantly struggle to meet your basic needs, the death becomes the most valuable thing to escape suffering

Many people do indeed believe that life is only worth living when certain conditions are met—like having health, safety, or fulfilling relationships. When those conditions aren't present, suffering can dominate, making life feel unbearable.

Everything in life is temporary; nothing is truly permanent. This impermanence can make life feel like it lacks solid meaning.

We're animals; animals have no purpose.
Outside of reproducing, if you will.
The difference between other animals and us is that we have so much computational power that it doesn't take long for us to discover that it's pointless.

Also doesn't take long for us to build delusional belief systems that convince us it's somehow objectively worth living

Besides the reasons we make it worth living for, no. It is not worth living. Everything we see, we feel, is temporary. We can enjoy our lives one day, but the other, we are in the biggest pit we've ever been in. I don't find it worth living, but some things will try their best to keep you alive for as long as possible, for me it's hope. Hope that a miracle will happen, making my dreams come fucking true, but by the time that miracle could potentially happen, I bet i'll already be dead, as it overpowers anything else in the end.

The Buddha taught that nothing in the universe is lasting - that everything that comes also goes, everything that lives must die, and everything that is created will crumble. Nobody thought the Buddha was crazy for teaching them the concept of impermanence and neither are you.

No, life isn't worth living. There's no reason or need for life to exist. Life existing is just pointing and serves no purpose. Whether you die now or die in 50 years time, it's just as equally pointless. It's difficult to try and convince this to people because the human ego is just so blinding to where people think that what they do matters and is important. No, none of this crap is important and, at the end of the day, we'll just be in the grave as if we never existed at all

If you are born into some privilege, have all your physical needs met, are good looking and so on, it can (arguably) be worth living. Most people on this planet, being subject to abject poverty, do not have lives worth living. Most people are brainwashed into thinking it's a gift, and that reproducing is somehow a moral choice, even though in the next breath they will say life sucks, taxes suck, their job sucks etc. I'll be dead soon because I refuse to accept this horseshit.

If you're wealthy, attractive, and/or intelligent then yes.

If you're ugly, poor, low iq and disabled well, if you're depressed and all of the above then I'd recommend you start finding a plan to end it bc everyone telling you that life is worth living is just lying to make you feel better.

It's the harsh truth🤷

Pro-life anti suicide videos only show pretty and young suicide victims who actually lived a nice life and had things that made them special but unfortunately just got a tad bit unlucky and got nerfed with mental illness

Unfortunately, most of us are bottom of the barrel loser scum who don't have shit going on with our short lives.

Life can be great but only if you're privileged, it's unfair how some people are born into shit circumstances and are expected to get the same results as others.

To whom? To you? That's going to depend on whether you find enough worth in life and in yourself as someone who can contribute and consume and feel fulfilled in doing so.

We are probably 'valuable' in terms of how we are perceived by others. For example, generating money for the richest in this world. They likely see a point in our existence- so they have someone to sell their crap to! Maintain their lifestyles etc.

Our parents obviously saw the point in creating us, or they were just horny and careless. Maybe we were 'valuable' emotionally to them. In terms of status- if they hoped they would be creating child geniuses, or as an insurance for later life in the hopes we would care for them.

Beyond that though- who knows? If the religious folk have it right and a God exists, maybe they have some big, clever plan that we can't fathom and all this- even the suffering has some end goal.

I guess I see the aim in asking. I suppose the hope is that most people will conclude that there is no point to life and we'll all gain access to assisted suicide. I don't think that will happen though. I expect the majority of people here may well agree that life is worthless. Even here though, some members enjoyed life up until something like ill health took it all away.

I imagine most 'normies' do see worth in life though. Otherwise, assisted suicide would be widely accepted by now I would have thought. I don't think so many people would comply with all the shit they do comply with- a 9-5. Paying 20% of their wages in tax etc. if they found it all utterly worthless. I don't know what they're holding on to. An upcoming series on Netflix or whatever. It seems weird to me that life gives them enough but clearly, it must do for some reason.

The happiest people I know have solid relationships/ friendships. That's the one major difference I see between them and a lot of members here (although again- not all.)

I totally agree with your above posts i quoted.

below is only my opinion :

Also imo these delusional beliefs systems an individual doesn't build them himself especially as a child but gets programmed into their brain by culture, society, other humans , movies , TV etc.

as an example if you look at reality . what a human ulimtately is composed of atoms and cells. a carbon atom is the same as a carbon atom in charcoal as in a human . an individual brain cell in a human and fly is exactly the same. we are just animals , machines, atoms, cells,. an atom is like a little universe mostly space so we are mostly space but the illusion of one whole solid being is what the brain / evolution creates. the illusion of meaning and importance is what evolution and culture create. i think 99% of humans are not aware of any of this so it's easier to build the delusion that there is some meaning or importance not just random atoms , just a peice of chemistry, cells = machines = that first cell which evolved 4 billion years ago.

The life I want doesnt exist and can never exist. There is so much bothering me about this universe. Almost everything feels wrong, starting from physics to biology to the human mind...so, no, for me life will never feel worth living cause I would need to be god to create a worthy universe.

Beautiful post. You're 100% right. As an ugly, short, stupid man with no social skills I feel only pain everyday but people keep telling "wait" and then the life circumstances will change. No, they won't. I've been waiting for that since like 10 years.
