Is #4 Buckshot (6.09mm, 0.24 inches Magnum) enough if I plan to go intraoral with a 12 gage? Or should I rather pick a standard 28 g slug?

Yes. Even target loads would do the job.

I would never advise anyone to use low power loads like bird shot etc. Something tells me that's a very bad fucking idea. I'm no expert, just trying to prevent harm.

The #4 buckshot I have access to has 56g (i.e. magnum load), while the slug only has 28g. Does any of them have asignificantly higher chance of success. Extrapolating from @Liebestods post, it boils down to the same I guess?

I have a whole thread on the private discussion board going in depth on firearms in general, it's under the similar threads on this post, even birdshot will work although I'd use a buckshot or slug. Hell a 20 gauge birdshot worked for Kurt Cobain.

12 gauge either one will do it . aim and not flinching before shot is most important. the velocity of each must be known to determine the energy power of the shot

what specific ammo name do u have etc?

even a small handgun is deadly from a distance. a gun touching the head is much more lethal, more energy and gasses goes into the brain

people have died from being accidentally shot with blank rounds no bullet . a contact head shot is almost certain with any gun even more so a shotgun. the aim and not flinching practice dry firing is most important

I've never been a fan of the shotgun method because of the very small but horrific risk that you survive and are disfigured. But I recognize that may be your only or best option. In that case, I'd suggest doing it in water if that's possible? In the case that you simply lose consciousness but don't die from the shot, you will die from drowning.

I think it would be better to use shot. But buckshot would be best
