• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I read Infinite Jest and it is so much about anonymous alcoholics. Are we the anonymous suicidal then? Maybe someone could write a book about our "meetings".
Do we practice rituals except of the devotements to Satan we do every second Sunday in The Sanctuary? And of course the drinking of blood of little babies.

We have at least moderators. But we are an online group only. What does consist a self-help group I will look it up.

Self-Help Group Definition

Based on the provided search results, a self-help group can be characterized by the following key features:
Common Concern or Challenge: A self-help group is a gathering of individuals who share a specific issue or challenge they are facing in their lives, such as mental health issues, addiction, grief, or financial struggles.
Mutual Support and Assistance: Members provide emotional support, guidance, and encouragement to one another, often without any cost, while having control over the group's structure and activities.
Non-Judgmental and Safe Environment: Self-help groups offer a safe and non-judgmental space for individuals to share their stories, experiences, and struggles without fear of criticism or stigma.
Peer-to-Peer Learning and Coping Strategies: Members share their own coping strategies and experiences, allowing others to learn from their successes and setbacks.
Empowerment and Personal Growth: Self-help groups aim to empower individuals to take control of their lives, make positive changes, and promote personal growth and recovery.
Autonomy and Self-Organization: Most self-help groups operate independently, with members taking an active role in organizing and leading the group, often with some professional input or facilitation.
Core Therapeutic Principles: Effective self-help groups typically incorporate principles such as:
* Giving members opportunities to help others
* Motivating them to emulate successful others in the group
* Offering friendship and support

High Satisfaction and Perceived Benefits: Research suggests that most members of self-help groups report being highly satisfied with their group experience and rate the group as beneficial.
These characteristics are evident across various types of self-help groups, including those focused on mental health, addiction, financial support, and more.

I'd argue it's offered more "help" than anybody has ever lent me. It's my only outlet, I don't speak to anyone and I am room bound. Being able to come into contact with people who I may be able to RELATE to - not just talk to, there is a difference! - has really offered me more relief than any doctor ever could. It's not about masking your worries, trying desperately to downplay what you feel, denying your suicidality and ultimately blame yourself for having it. No matter how people may think, yes, the option is there and I am so glad it is. I am sorry, but you won't find me apologizing about wanting to die, I feel it concerns me more than it does others, it's my choice.

I do feel like it has helped - how so? It has helped me feel less miserable while doctors ran away with the money I gave them. It's helped me keep going and have courage for as long as I desire to - wow, people have a right to be tired and not want to live, isn't it crazy?! But no, everybody's a sucker for "success" stories, "success" being equivalent to what exactly? Getting rid of my misery? Please, many have tried, all failed. I genuinely believe that it is a support group, much unlike those forums chock-full of people who carry fixed beliefs along the lines of "Oh everything's possible!". "It's all going to be great!", "Tell you what, at least you'll be able to cope!".

That said, I notice how the above definition is the product of that toxic mindset; "promote personal growth [buzzword] and recovery". Even if it's not possible or when the attempt at it could be far more risky than beneficial? As such, every mention of the world "help" presupposes that the above model of toxicity be present. Seeing as it doesn't try to push these two down your throat, I think people misunderstand the "guidance, and encouragement" aspect. I have never been "pushed" towards it, I would not have allowed it. Given the above, I am "highly satisfied with their group experience and [do] rate the group as beneficial", as this has, genuinely so, been a "non-judgmental space [...] without fear of criticism or stigma". To have a right to die is not a "mindset", it is true. Sly connotations and loaded words aside, taken word for word, it is a support group.

Tbh I stop reading after that

I read Infinite Jest and it is so much about anonymous alcoholics.

Your last 10 post are about trump.
Whatever, this site is boring me too bc of in fact who really care about our psychose except people who can relate ?

I throught I'll be fine to vent about my life but at the end I will die alone in my corner.
Mostly bc I want to die and no one can do anything.

Finally I'm glad to spoke here for the time I spend here despice the fact I'm prolly stigmatised about what I told. Anyway.

Whatever will be your choices ( all of you) I wish you'll be fine with it.

Take care of you, this is not a dating app.

Last interaction for me, thanks for all

Maybe for the members who hang out in the 'recovery' section. I think a lot of the people in the suicide section have largely given up on the idea of recovery. I definitely think this place helps people to cope though. With the life they are stuck with at the moment. I haven't really spent enough time in the recovery bit to know whether it helps- although, I imagine it very well could if you are in that frame of mind. Peer support and all that.

I think it is. It's the only place I can go to talk about my issues and suffering and actually feel heard. If I go to anyone else, I'm ignored and looked down on. Whether it's finding a safe method, or venting with others, this site has honestly helped me more than anything else has.
