For this thread I am talking about all the things related to sexuality such as reproduction, gender, and intercourse.
I have been reading this book and even though its universe is different than ours, the narrator stated that sexuality is inherently unfair and it made me think; is it? The two sexes for all of history attempt to control one another and use each other. Even though it is not as taught, there were unfair female rulers back then as well. In today's world stupid social media is filled with the gender war were women will call out men regarding how useless they are and men will do the same regarding women. For some reason its common for the two sexes to view the other as an enemy.
Then comes the urges of sexuality. Rape is common and it is one of the most disgusting and immoral acts. Urges destroy relationships when one party wants intercourse more than another, and or when one partner cheats. Sexuality as well causes people to dehumanize one another through arts, gossiping, writing and more. Having strong urges can feel suffocating and lead people to act in revolting ways.
Reproduction is an unfair grueling process but it is necessary due to people having a need to have a little them (some people want children to an extent it becomes a need. I don't understand that desire and I believe many of you won't but it still should be taken in account in this conversation). A man can find it unfair that he is unable to fully control the father of the child, to an extent how healthy the baby will be and needing a woman to have a child. A woman can find it unfair to have a child due to her requiring to use so much of her bodies long lasting health, use up 9 months of her lifetime being much less operative and requiring a man to have a child.
Queer people can have the unfair circumstance of being born in a sex they do not want to inhibit or having an attraction to the same gender which many people find disgusting. For many queer people it is impossible to have a child with their partner which can as well be unfair.
I believe the only reason sexuality can be positive is due to it somewhat forcing bonds and love to happen in this world but a lot of times that positive can become a negative when stuck with abusive or toxic relationships.
What do you guys think? Is sexuality inherently unfair? Would it have been better if we never had reproductive organs and were planted in a seed to be birthed?
