• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Yeah it is. But I've heard that it comes looking like hardened lumps because it comes in a vacuum sealed bag (DMC source) and sometimes can appear yellowish. I got mine a month ago and have not even opened it because I don't want to affect it.

SN is not pink. You're confusing it with Himalayan salt which is just a trendy thing to put on things now to add a little extra flavor and doesn't actually cure the meat. I'm sure maybe in high enough doses that could still kill you but then again so could regular table salt.

Himalayan salt is just very old sea salt :)
And I think sanan23 meant actual pink curing salt which is a blend of regular sea salt and sodium nitrite/nitrate. Mostly sea salt.

SN used to cure meat is much less purity than the type you need to ctb. For ctb, an assay of 95% or higher is required.
