  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Hello everyone,
I used to be a happy girl who enjoyed leaving the house every day to go to school, meet friends (yes I used to have friends) and go out in the evenings. . .

Well, it feels like that's been over for 4 years now. . .

Because of my depression I feel worse now than ever before.

I would like to know if you have ever had a good time in your life or experienced something nice. .

Thank you very much

I flourished in high school. I was in a whole big group of friends [still in touch with two of them ~20 years later], I aced all of my classes with no effort. My mental health hadn't shattered yet; I had OCD, but was in treatment which worked wonders and I hadn't become bipolar yet. My physical health wasn't too bad yet.

Been all downhill since I finished high school.

The year I miss is 2014. I was in my early twenties, working my first job, and going to college. Everything started going downhill after that year ended, but 2017 and later is when things really went to shit.

I miss 2015-2019 when I was regularly playing Smash Bros (originally Smash 4 then we moved onto Ultimate) with my community college friends. I was also active in the school's esports club at the time helping to host events, attending tournaments, etc. I was still pretty depressed and miserable around this time but at least I could forget about all that just by playing a game I wasn't even good at. Then Covid happened and I haven't entered a tournament since but at least I've hung out with some of these same friends a few times since then…

I always identified my memories by how "hot" or "cold" they were. I don't know if anyone else has experienced this temperatured based feeling! So for my happiest memories I feel really warm, i can literally feel the warmness filling my body when I recall them. But... if you asked me to recall specific details like what exactly happened, I couldn't tell you or I would just make up stuff! It's always been weird to me that I can't really remember my past, especially these recent years, it's like when I try to recall what has happened the last couple years.... my mind goes blank....
I guess It's because now that I'm older I don't see or experience as much as unique stuff anymore..most days im just at home playing games or on my computer.

I miss my childhood and middle school period, I was much more passionate, more persistent, had that energy in me, several friends, those were good days!

2000s to 2015

It was the ideal space of time for me in history. If I had a different family, I would have been immensely more elated with my life. I would not be here.

Instead, I was not allowed to be myself. My failures were bolstered and I was silenced. I should have had friends that supported me. I should have had a family that loved me, not just the version of me they desperately tried to create in their head. I should have had lovers who didn't distill me down to a dick and what my body looked like.

If I did, that time would have been perfection.

Yes, there was this small Golden Age phase between the spring of 2005 and the summer of 2006 that I wish I could re-live.

But at the end of the day, "ya can't go back, Bob" (TWD reference).

I was happier when I was a child. Fell off the wagon in middle school. Actually, probably earlier, I was a pretty weird kid I think.

Interesting, somewhat reminds me of synesthesia, personally my best time was probably a short period when I met my first serious gf in person and we spent a few days together, it was so romantic and loving, I broke up with her due to some life moments but I really cherish the memories about that, it really was like some sort of romance movie :)

I want to say middle school- sixth and seventh grade. I was a great student without even trying to be, I had genuine interests in movies and comics, some great friends, and the world didn't seem nearly as dystopian as it does it now. Admittedly, it wasn't perfect- I was seriously overweight, which I wasn't happy with- but on the whole, there was a real sense of optimism.

I can't remember anything my childhood. But I don't have any trauma I think so maybe the answer is yes. Anything is better than whatever the fuck I'm having rn I'm just dreading and depressed . Probably back to the time before I went to university bcz that's where it all started I think.

I feel like at this specific time of my life entering my 30s, things have stabalized at least minimally so that I can build a foundation for a life I want to live. But the 30 years leading up to this point, I've just been constantly trying to get away from people and situations.

I never really had a point previously in my life that I wish I could return to.

this makes me sob to think about lol. immediately age 10-11 comes to mind, a year or two before illness struck, remembering trauma etc..if i could i would live in that time forever. when it was just me and my mom, no men in the house to hurt me, and while she was at work i'd play on my 3ds and watch cartoons all day. occasionally she would bring me fast food which was such a nice surprise to look forward to. i didn't have friends nor did i thrive off of people nor care so much like i do now; just happy and free by myself with her

I'm fairly young at 24 years old, and this probably sounds really stupid but any day between the years of 2009-2014. Call of Duty games were at its all-time peak in terms of the playerbase population and overall quality of the games, and they were some of the most fun moments I've ever had during my childhood. Those were also the years before depression took complete control of my life. Been suffering since 14 years old and have spent several nights crying alone either in my bed or in my car during breaktime at work.

Surprisingly one of the times I miss most was when I was in a residential around age 15 or so, even though I was going through a really bad time the staff there and the friends I had made there was super important to me and I miss them and think about them a lot. If I could go back in time that would probably be one of my top picks to go to.
