I'm curious as to whether people here have actually fallen in love with one another? It sounds stupid I know, but it really does pique my interest, as whether something like that happens here. I hope I don't upset anyone for asking this...

i met someone on here IRL, guy in his early 20s. at some point when we were still friends, we would talk on the phone a lot, and he talked to me about how he was hitting up a girl on here lmao... i wont say who either of them are but it seems their accounts aren't active anymore. it definitely wasnt "love" if you know what i mean- but if something like that happened then its not stupid or far fetched to imagine that 2 people here really have fallen in love lol.

tbh, for awhile i was hoping something like that would happen to me. but now id just really like some friends. it seems nice cuz i feel like i already have a lot more in common to anyone on here than to someone irl. and im sure other people think like that too.

It's not stupid, and actually a very intriguing question.

What's the difference from this site and reddit for example?

People share their thoughts and feelings, this eventually will lead to some kind of connection between them.

Being a niched platform creates a sense of community, belonging. A safe environment for communication.

The problem lies on anonymity, you're playing with uncertainty when it comes to moving it to real life.

On both platforms you'll never know who's on the otherside. The world is full of bad actors, scammers and such. Or worse a cop lol.

Already happened? Of course.
Will happen again? Maybe, people had fallen in love in worse places.
Should you? Probably not, at least I would never.

On SaSu is a bit more tricky because of the kind of the content we share here that could possibly be used as grounds for criminal charges. And a relationship with one suicidal is already problematic, imagine two of them.

But hey, tinder is no sanctuary too.
Honestly, it's very sad that the world is like this.

Be very careful.

I wouldn't say it's impossible for it to work, but jumping in quickly can be bad. Everyone here is struggling in one way or another. So yes, there can be empathy you won't find elsewhere, and that's wonderful, but there can also be a compounding of negatives. Very similar to @fishlover 's story, but I've seen someone latch onto someone who only reinforced bad thoughts/tendencies and they got dragged into a pretty dark mindset.

Just be very careful with someone you haven't known long.

It's possible. I have known a few members who resonated on such a level here. To wit, it's also possible to form strong non-romantic bonds that are very close to said emotion as well. Have had a few friends here that I shared such a bond with.

That said, it will almost end in tragedy one way or another, although I do understand, all too well, that either kind of relationship is emotionally devastating ultimately. But seeing as to the nature of this site, it is sometimes inevitable as most of us seek solace in those who truly understand us on such a deep and personal level.

Although it's not advisable to do as such, each of us here are only human and by that very fact, we yearn for someone to resonate with not only our loneliness and despair, but our hopes and dreams as well. After all, we are genetically social creatures hence it is our nature to seek out those like minded to us. Often as an anchor in a tumultuous world. There is nothing shameful or wrong with that.

Ultimately, it is up to the individual to decide what is best for themselves, but we must be aware of the potential consequences of making such a decision.

This story was such an example. Both profound and beautiful, but terribly tragic and soul shattering at the same time. I wish them both the solace they so desperately sought in one another from this dark and wicked world.

If not for the internet to be honest I dont find myself finding love at all. Not just because its hard to relate to normal folk but also because I dont really go outside. To be honest though yeah I'd be careful here... I feel like we'd get used for our issues

No idea about others but I won't be falling in love with somebody else here. At the end of the day, I'm only on this site to execute my ctb method, nothing else. This site has already fulfilled its purpose to me and I don't require it any longer but it'd be nice to use my remaining days to vent on here I guess. Either way, I'm not here for love and, even if I was, I still wouldn't bother because love can create another attachment to life and I want to be completely detached from life

I've known of members who developed deep feelings for each other. It obviously caries risks though. The relationship may not be enough to prevent one or other still going ahead with suicide.

I PM'd quite a bit with one member where the man they liked/ loved did CTB and eventually, they followed them.

I suspect, as with any relationship in life, it can bring about the greatest highs and the very worst lows.

I suppose in one way, I think it's better that each person knows from the start that the other has ideation. Still- I just think in general, it's risky meeting people online. Ultimately, they could be anyone with any kind of motive. A site like this is going to attract predators too. Some which are likely more than happy to play the long game in establishing trust. So, I think everyone should also be careful.

ok, this isnt a site for finding love... but which one is? im asking truthfully. can someone point me to a site that is reasonable to find love for people like us*?

i know for experience (much of it) that normal people have ZERO tolerance for depressed or ill people or just people that isnt social.

*not all people here are social rejects... some have social lives and its just their brains fucking them up. im not one of these, tho.

Agree with you on this one. Sometimes stuff just happens, but this site shouldn't be used for that.
