Discussion It’s impossible to know if somebody ctb, so while we have you here now, what would you do?

I've read posts and posts about speculation of a user here passing on. Seen a couple "I'm X's friend they told me to post", and then posts where the OP says they are doing it, and they are gone. It makes me curious, what are your plans here? Have you made connections with people here that you would like to be informed personally of your passing? Would you get a friend to post on here?

It's a crazy concept, that the day I start recognizing a user could be the last day I ever hear from them.

That's the answer I was hoping for. I'm immediately addicted to this forum so it's cool to see that it means a lot to others as well. I don't really know a soul here yet and I've already vented shit I haven't said to anybody irl. Having such a open two way street dialogue about the topic of death is the freshest breath of clean air I've had in months.

I probably won't do anything - though not with a 'fuck you'. This place has been very useful, and oddly comforting at times, but with no offence meant, there's no one I actually *know* here in person, just a few people in messages. When I CTB, I'm going to be so fucking terrified that I certainly won't be sending messages. Sorry folks. I don't even know yet whether I'm going to send a note to anyone - I've written one that's a long epic, but I may just decide not to leave anything. I don't think any of them will care after the initial shock, and I'm pretty sure my small family won't give a damn.

Haha the "fuck you" is because one user poked my belly and said there is no "nothing" option, so I added a "because fuck you" as a little fun. I'm so over being morbid depressed all the time. I'm at peace with my death but I still like to laugh. Maybe that's fucked.

This is the way I look at notes. If you're going to write one, write one for yourself. Don't vomit out whatever you think they want to hear. Say whatever the fuck you want to say. It's goal should be to give you a little peace, because there is nothing you can do or leave behind after killing your self that will make anything different at the end of the day. I don't even know what I'd put in a note that I haven't already said. I'd probably just put "WHO FUCKING FARTED" just to fuck with them and give them something to laugh about in 20 years. (Shout out nick)

As far as users here, they will be receiving a much more polite and opening parting message then I would leave my family...

What's up with the not important enough stuff? We all came here for the same reason, we all have the same capacity to participate as the next user. This is like the ONE place we can all meet as equals. I'm not sure how active you are, but this misconception of "important" users is being confused with "active" members. The more you participate, the more integrated you are in the community. However, just because you don't spend all day here or reply to every thread, doesn't make you any less important then the top user here.

I think a bit of that stems from tracking the likes and messages and other stats from your profile. It can create a fake aura of importance, when really they are no different then they guy who out ranked you in call of duty because they play 10 hours a day. Nothing wrong with that participation, I've been here all day, but I'm not chasing clout. I don't care how many likes your comment gets or how many points you have on the leaderboard, I read your comments with the same eyes.

If you don't want to say goodbye that's fine, but don't NOT say goodbye because you think we won't care

I always wondered how do you know if it worked. If someone monitors it. It would be nice to know what works, and where people fail. But generally who survives ends up trapped in a clinic whit no internet or anything (in my country, at least..)
