• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Caring for someone is an active engagement to do something to positively affect them. It means to be responsible for their health and safety, and to provide the things they need.

Caring for someone goes beyond just offering words; it involves real actions—taking responsibility for their well-being, meeting their needs, and ensuring they feel safe and supported. It requires commitment, effort, and emotional investment.

How much of it do you suppose is based on trade effectively? So, the offspring of parents may feel a debt towards them for raising them that they 'pay back' when their parents grow old. I suspect sometimes, that's why they have children on some level. A kind of living insurance policy to look after them when they're old.

Spouses/ partners will (hopefully) take care of one another if the other falls ill but- it's an agreement/ understanding pretty much- especially in marriage. The nicer way to look at it is that they're in love and don't like to see one another suffer. The same goes for friendship I suppose.

Of course, there are the 'Good Samaritans' out there that just help others because it's the right thing to do.

Really though- I don't have people around me to help either. But I have to admit- do I deserve their help? What have I done for them? They have their own families and friends to take care of- why should they have to worry about me? We're not family. We're not even friends. That's not to say in an emergency, either of us would be unwilling to help the other. Personally though, I actually feel really uncomfortable accepting other people's help because I know I haven't done much to warrant it.

Would you say you've done a lot for other people? Maybe you're not in a position where you can but actually, most people probably can do stuff. My Grandma suffered terribly with her health but, she always found ways to support me. A debt sadly, I mostly didn't repay. I can't say I do much for others personally. I'm pretty selfish. I use the lame excuse that it works both ways. I'm not asking for anything from them in return.

If I'm honest though- if you expect people- especially strangers to go out their way to care about you and help you, you may well end up disappointed. Although, there may be charities willing to help but, they'll likely have to assess who needs it most.

People may care about you on an abstract level. We probably care about one another here on an abstract level but, practical support is a whole lot more. That costs someone their time and money most likely. I think most of the time, that requires a relationship on some level- family, romantic, friendship. Maybe it's cynical to say but, I think that kind of thing relies on an exchange. What will you be giving them to make them want to help? Friendship? Gratitude? Will you support them back?

I think the real tragedy is when there are people who've done nothing but help others in their lives and when it comes to their turn, everyone flees. That's especially sad I find.

I volunteer to go first! I'd definitely go as far as saying I think it would benefit this earth if we went extinct.

It may sound cruel but- that kind of perspective also probably doesn't make people feel like they want to help you though. (Sorry.) As in- I wish you were all dead. I'd kill you all if I could but- could you help me, care about me, give me your time and money?

One guy in my class at college had written: 'I hate the world and, that includes you!' On his portfolio. Our tutor got him to remove it before he went to interviews.

Still, I don't expect you do greet people with that. I'm sorry you've been shown so little kindness in life though.

I imagine you would agree that you feel bitter towards life- and have reason to. I don't think we necessarily feel bitter for no reason but sadly, I think people probably do avoid us because of that also.

I absolutely despise humanity.

We fight and kill over religions, castes and what not. We spend billions of our resources on wars and in creating nuclear weapons. WHY? Why not use it to make this world a better place? What's the use of creating such weapons of mass destruction which can not only kill thousands but also destroy the habitat of other species? How many species are suffering because of our selfishness? We use them in labs for our benefit, Kill them for our joy and destroy their home for our comfort. All that but are we still at peace? We spend our entire life struggling for better grades, better jobs and better paychecks.

We live in a wicked and corrupted world. And if there is anything I am waiting for is our extermination.

We humans are a literal parasite on this planet. We kill animals to extinction. Use up all natural resources until depletion, wage war for our egos and others resources. I mean shitt…look at 3rd world countries and how the people of their own country will fuck over and kill there own people for a dollar.

If you are seeking the above from this community inside of here then I'm sorry. My experience thus far has been positive but it can change at any minute. You can read the threads and clearly see most are mentally unstable, non compliance with their medication, irrational thinking, suicidal, etc. If this community don't value their own lives then chances are they won't value yours either.

Ultimately, you have the power to control your environment and surroundings, not people. Don't give strangers that much power to care for you in this place.
I guess it depends on what you're posting as why you feel people don't care for you. I have a horrible memory so I can't remember any of your post.

I'm sorry you feel your emotional needs aren't being met inside of here. I always try to post kind words to everyone or if I disagree with the thread I simply avoid it. If you want an upbeat forum, perhaps this isn't the right site for you, idk.

We are all dealing with our own issues and barely making it. So again, I'm sorry you feel this way.

Absolutely agree. Even worse, we'll likely contribute to another beings suffering today too and be able to live with it. I do understand. A big part of me despises humanity and myself.

I've been hitting that wall everywhere I go and my whole life. I see friendship as a mutual meeting of needs, being real, trusting each other, providing true empathy and care. Most people seem to see it as boring small talk and surface-level connection and pushing away anything intense or vulnerable by being positive or trying to fix me. People say they want close connections then when I try to have one, I get pushed away and people act like I'm too much just for wanting to talk a lot or share what I'm going through.

And god forbid I ever have any suggestions or feedback after I feel someone pushing me away, avoiding me, trying to shut me down with positivity or false hope. Then people really get mad and defensive and make me feel like I'm the problem for having wanted a genuine connection. I keep thinking I should just give up. Every now and then I find someone different but other things can get in the way or they change or we drift apart in other ways.

Not to devil's advocate at all because there's no good reason for this and no reason that makes it better, but I think it's a lack of emotional maturity and the way we're taught to be in this world, keep things light, be superficial, all that matters is you work and smile and shop. It's fucked up. I wish people could see or push against it but most have the privilege not to and for them it's easier to play pretend. I don't know how to find the people who aren't like that and can see through that and won't hate me for being realistic and pessimistic and chronically ill and depressed.

Why would you search something like that in a place like this? We're all problematic people on our own way

Always found funny how problematic people loves to cling other problematic people, in a hope it'll be someone that can have mutual agreement or something like that
It usually doesn't work well
