I've had girlfriends before but it just never felt like I was "falling for someone". I dont know why I'm posting this but I just want to let it out.

It will happen, most likely. At 18 I'd barely scratced the surface and certainly never experienced romantic love. Lust and infatuation but not love. Have patience and God luck.

Basically this. Love is amazing but it's not the be all and end all of everything. You're sill so young and have so much time to fall in love.

It would be hell if the person you love doesn't love you back. I wouldn't be suicidal if I received the love that I wanted. So of course I am empty.

I didn't love anyone til I was mid 30s. I'd had long term relationships as well as short term ones, but hadn't felt proper love til 34ish. Fuck, at 18 I was juggling 4-5 women and hoping I'd not fall for one of them, so you've got plenty of time.

Then you are way ahead of me already. I'm 24 and I never even had a girlfreind or even kissed someone, let alone do anything more than that. People ten years younger than me already have more experience in that department than I will ever have. Whenever I see threads like this I feel somewhat disconnected, I'm too fucked up even for people on this site. Whenever people write they feel lonely or unlocked or whatever but then talk about how they have friends and had several girlfriends or have one currently I feel like I don't belong here, because I didn't even have that.
Feels like the last train left 10 years ago and I'm still waiting at the station.
