Although partial hanging may allow passing out and experiencing less pain than full, the only real way to overcome si is to kick the chair. Anyone feel the same?

It probably is the best way for some people, but there have been lots of successful partial hangings, so someone's clearly able to overcome SI.

I feel the same, in my case. True, though, that everyone has their own methods.
I haven't tested anything yet but I estimate that I'll need to do full suspension. My pain resistance and general gumption seem far too weak to be able to successfully hang myself without fully trapping myself into the hanging. Maybe if my mind was heavily altered by some crazy drugs I could succeed in partial suspension, but I've only got alcohol. And that'll probably do just enough to push me into a full suspension.

Even though it would be scary it is one of the best methods out there and has been used for probably thousands of years and it´s VERY effective and low cost. I also think it´s a cool method to use given it´s history through time just imagining how many people in different ages of human history has done it the same way.
I tested partial and my si wouldn't let me get past a certain point. I need to soon. Good luck with whatever you choose. It's not until we start practicing that we find out just how powerful our urge to live is. We can do it though..

The first hurdle I need to get over is getting out of bed. Pretty pathetic, how hard that is for me. I already missed an opportunity, a few days back, to go out and buy a rope for hanging. I can't let myself miss the next one.

For me, i think partial is easy to back out, but people still over come it, ive always said i think full is the better way to go.

Exactly. I may be a coward in all other areas of my life, but gathering the sheer nerve to go through with this, if I really do succeed, will take the most courage I've ever had to muster.

Ive always said killing yourself is one of the hardest things if not the hardest thing to ever go through in life. It reminds you that you are in charge of your life, just not in charge of what happens to you sadly.

I've dress rehearsed for partial once and it felt like I was getting really close to the dizzy point quite easily, which from there might just be a few more moments til blackout and death. But I rehearsed again recently and it does seem fucking hard. Especially cause my intention is to tighten my belt to the point that it is compressing the arteries, and then to lean forwards and partially hang. I went on to have an epic week including making a massive bonfire and bearing witness to my beloved cat birth 3 kittens.
