• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I cant explain it with words but I'll do my best to do so. Life is so strange, nothing, literally nothing has changed and I feel fine? For what reason, what did I do? People still act like I don't exist and laugh behind my back, I still look like garbage, I still can't breathe properly and doctors don't give a shit about it, I don't know, maybe it's the anxiety but the point is life is as miserable as it always as and yet I feel fine?

I can't control the chemicals in my head and it's making me so confused, what even am I? A chemist and biologist's biggest test animal?

Just give me a gun already

What do yall think

Life feels strange for many reasons, often stemming from the vast contrasts, mysteries, and contradictions we encounter.

There's a contrast between certainty and uncertainty. While death is certain, everything else in life is unpredictable. We live with the knowledge that life will end, yet we don't know when or how. This paradox alone makes existence feel surreal. Life itself often unfolds in completely unexpected ways, no matter how carefully we plan.

The complexity of existence adds to this strangeness. We are made of trillions of cells, yet most of us have no control or understanding of the biological processes keeping us alive. Consciousness, which allows us to think, feel, and reflect, remains a profound mystery. We live as sentient beings in a world that we still struggle to fully comprehend.

Adding to this is the randomness of birth. None of us chooses where, when, or to whom we are born, yet these uncontrollable factors profoundly shape our lives. This randomness can feel almost absurd when you consider how much depends on it.

Human nature itself is full of contradictions. We spend much of our lives seeking pleasure and avoiding pain, yet the moments of satisfaction we achieve are often fleeting. Similarly, we search for meaning in a universe that might be indifferent to our existence, creating a strange tension between our desires and reality.

The scale of the universe contributes to life's surreal quality. We are tiny beings on a small planet in an enormous cosmos, yet our lives feel deeply significant to us. Our brief life spans contrast sharply with the vast timescales of the Earth and the universe, creating a strange relationship with time, which can feel like it drags yet is fleeting in the grand scheme.

The duality of suffering and joy further highlights life's peculiarity. Moments of beauty exist amidst hardship, and intense suffering often feels prolonged compared to the fleeting nature of happiness. This asymmetry between positive and negative experiences is another source of strangeness.

The mystery of non-existence also haunts many people. Questions about what it was like before birth and what happens after death remain unanswered. The unknowable nature of these states is both strange and unsettling.

The search for connection is another layer of strangeness. Humans crave connection, yet loneliness is a universal experience. Even when surrounded by others, it's possible to feel deeply disconnected. Despite forming relationships, we can never fully understand another person's thoughts or feelings, even those closest to us.

Lastly, the illusion of control underscores life's unpredictability. While we can control some aspects of our behavior and choices, we are helpless against larger forces like time, natural disasters, or the actions of others.

Life's strangeness often lies in the tension between what we know and what we can never fully grasp. For some, embracing this strangeness can be freeing, while for others, it feels deeply unsettling.
