My dumb ass tried over two dozen meds and it made matters much worse. I quit taking the neurotoxins a few years ago hoping my brain would heal itself. Hasn't happened yet and probably never will. Fuck psych drugs!

abilify (antipsychotic) - 7/10 made the thoughts quiet but i gained 50lbs lol
prozac (antidepressant) - 0/10 a sugar pill would have been more affective than this
clomipramine (antidepressant specifically for OCD) - 5/10 im not sure how well this one worked bc i was taking it alongside the abilify but i saw a slight improvement after implementing it into my cocktail
lexapro (antidepressant) - 4/10 didn't really help with the depression or OCD but my anxiety levels became more manageable
xanax (benzo) - 10/10 this drug is fucking amazing, literally shuts everything out
ativan (benzo) - 7/10 works fine but not as good as xanax
klonopin (benzo) - 3/10 the affectiveness wore off after the first couple doses :/

Ok so I only am currently taking one (Nuedexta) but I'm gonna rate some past ones too,

Nuedexta - 7/10 doesn't cure my depression but I do feel a little better on it, expensive as hell to get since its a pretty new drug though
Prozac - 2/10 a waste of money to get didn't help me at all
Zoloft - 3/10 same as Prozac but had less bad side effects
Cymbalta - 0/10 awful side effects, didn't sleep for 3 days straight (No exaggeration) and felt miserable the whole time

P.S. Don't knock Prozac/Zoloft just because they don't work for me though, I know it can be super helpful for others.

Prozac saved my life! It's unfortunate it didn't help you. I stopped taking it because I was so numb to everything. It definitely got out of a very dark place. Gaining weight is never a good side effect of a psych medicine!

I had to get a genetic test because meds were not working for me. I've been through many. I process most meds too fast for them to be anything but just the bad side effect so I don't think most of my experience is worth anything for anyone else.

Currently I'm prescribed for:
- duloxetine for Depression and Anxiety

Haven't taken any of this in months to be frank. Take some every once in a while at a much too high dose to make myself feel as physically awful as I do mentally. Side effects when doing so often include:

- Dissociation, déréalisation, brain fog and inability to process thoughts, sounds, words, body language and more —Very well or even hardly at all
- exhaustion, lack of dexterity or ability to work with my hands, stand, run, walk, generally use my kind in more than basic motions at its most extreme
- constant headaches, if not moderate to severe migraines, especially because my pupils will stop dilating sometimes
- emotional apathy, loss of brain to mouth/mental filter, unnatural chattiness, and lack of appetite
- constant nausea, dizziness, lightheaded, prone to passing out

Tried getting back on once and I felt just as bad even when talking a very small amount. I've probably trained my body to react to it poorly now in all honesty.

Initially it was okay, but really it's a 2-3/10 because it didn't do much but it also didn't cause me much problems when I was taking it regularly to actually give it a chance unlike so many others.

Taking it after being off of it for a while is a -3/10 unless I'm doing it as SH then it's probably a 5/10 on the successful or satisfying SH/pain level scale

- Wellbutrin for Anxiety, Panic disorder, depression, and basic ADHD management until I can get proper medication but getting the diagnosis properly (not just pseudo diagnosis' from my psychiatrist + therapist) would be too expensive at the present.

I'd say 7/10 total.
- Has potential risk coupled with my ED but haven't had a seizure yet so I'm not too worried.
- Works for the most part okay with making day time day easier. 4/10 on effectiveness.
- Hasn't fixed anything but doesn't have any side effects and little to no problems when I forget to take it and then Get back on which are is biggest pluses.
- One dosage means less hassle with easing into or off of it which is nice as well.

Hydroxyzine for panic attacks

1/10 — sedates me horribly for up to 72 hours depending on my general body/physical and mental state at the time of taking them, levels of sleep in the past 48 hours and dosage, etc. Takes too long to kick in for my liking but will cut a 2-3 hour long paralyzing panic attack into 30-40 minutes depending on if I can take it in time. Does a good job preventing panic attacks but practically renders me useless until sedation and other effects are out of my system.

Other side effects alongside or part of sedation from Hydroxyzine for me includes:
- light Dissociation, brain fog and some inability to process thoughts, sounds, words
- extreme lethargy and weight/difficulty to doing anything moderate or more with my body
- headaches, light emotional apathy, self isolation tendencies (if lasting for a longer period), and lack of appetite

Venlafaxine - 1/10 gave me the absolute worst insomnia of my life, then withdrawing from it was a nightmare. Gets 1 point for still kinda helping though

Duloxetine - 7/10 has been amazing at stabilizing my mood, still depressed AF but I'm way less emotional and batshit crazy now. No real side effects

Xanax - 10/10 literally even the smallest dose will send me to sleep but oh my god is it the comfiest thing ever

havent really had major side effects from any meds yet but here are the ratings! some of the "effectiveness" could be because of outside factors though

prozac (fluoxetine)- pretty dookie, did nothing (was in the hospital for a good while and was going through it so that might be why) 2/10
zoloft (sertraline)- better than prozac...? nothing too noticeable but anxiety seemed better 5/10
lexapro (escitalopram)- wowee i feel better. i def notice feeling worse when i skip a few days but might be withdrawal symptoms? -1 for slight weight gain 7/10

Still horrified by my failed life and all the mistakes I've made. But I'm sleeping and eating more, so that's something. Big dinner, about 8 hours sleep, woke up hungry for breakfast. Could be getting healthy.

Current medications
Adderal (for ADHD), effectiveness: 8/10. It helps me focus but doesn't really help with the hyperness.

Escitalopram (for anxiety and depression, also known as lexapro), effectiveness: 7/10, makes me sleepy and low energy, but keeps me calm most of the time and helps with intrusive thoughts of suicide. But a nightmare if I forget it one day, and a week of physically and mentally miserable and intense withdrawals.

The trazodone appears to be working. Might be the Lamictal but I'm still ramping up on that. I think it's the trazodone. My life sucks because I'm a coward and I've wasted 15-20 crucial years. But day to day the pain has lessened.

Effexor - Psychiatrist had to keep increasing the dosage because it stopped working.

Mirtazapine - Amazing when combined with Effexor. Some days I felt on top of the world.

Zoloft - My first antidepressant. Did wonders for my mood, then for some reason stopped working.

Lithium - Nil effect.

Zyprexa, then Clozapine. Clozapine was a major pain in the ass with the monthly blood tests. Not sure why I was put on antipsychotics in the first place.
