Alone again.
Was supposed to go to Vienna tomorrow with someone. He said he suddenly doesn't want to.

So now I am going on a trip to Vienna alone :(. For company I will have cigarettes, Spotify and books. I hope It will not suck. I am trying to run away from bad feelings and I am thinking a little trip would do me good. I am looking forward to buying books at bookshops - I am planning to do a bookshop tour of the city.

Let us know how the time there went for you if possible when you return. Vienna sounds like a beautiful place to be honest!
I can relate a lot when it comes to going on holiday trips or visiting world destinations in general, but having no one by your side. :(

Try and have fun just to spite them! Make it a game.
I hope you find stuff to do, have you ever been before? It sounds awesome. Maybe some of the locals will help you out. My stepdad used to travel all over and would just straight up say 'hi I'm alone here are there any good spots to visit?' or whatever, then people would kinda trust him and take him around or at least give directions.

Lol, guys Vienna is a boring city. Not many things to do. And I don't wanna do typical tourist things, because I am all alone and because I've seen it all in Vienna.

I just wanna buy some new english books, because they don't have large english section where I live. There is this street there that has this amazing large english section. And they have 4-level high ZARA. And also, they have this special Mcdonald's sauce that I like xD.

I just wish someone would be there with me and enjoy a Latte with me. :/
I have like internet friends in Belgrade and Warsaw, but sadly teleport wasn't invented yet.

well do whatever you like, I know it sucks not having anyone around but at least you could get buried in a nice book, sipping a latte. Does it get sunny much? Or could you get anyone else to go with?

The weather should suck tomorrow, but I am okay with that. I will be inside. I have literally noone I could go with that I know. Well, noone whose company I would enjoy. Don't really get along with my family in general.

Going alone is better than being stuck with someone who doesn't want to be there. Whether that's because it's you or the place doesn't really matter, it would suck just as much either way.

I know this might sound silly, but have you ever heard of geocaching? It's basically a treasure hunt game for adults where people hide little caches all over the world. All you get is a description and approximate location, it's up to you to find where the cache is hidden. Usually there's only a little note with names of everyone who visited it, but sometimes there are other things in them too. It's free (except travel fares if you don't want to walk), all you need is the app.

I haven't done it in years now, but I thought maybe you'd enjoy it since you'll have some time on your hands in a city you have already explored. Geocaching will often bring you off the beaten path and to amazing little gems of places you'd never find otherwise. Pack a raincoat if the weather is going to suck, though xD

Hello guys. I am writing this in the bus on a return trip to give you an update.

In the end I am glad that my brother didn't come with me. It would be just too painful for me to be with him, it wouldn't be worth the free ride.

On the other hand, I am really lonely. I went to the shops and walked around the town and felt empty. But I guess I achieved my goal - I bought 4 books, that I may not even read If I die.

It's not that great of a city, really xD. It's just okay - it has one really good gallery, one zoo, one giant church that everyone wants to see and one street full of shops. The thing about Vienna is it's a good shopping place because you have 40 version of the same cheese and what not. I guess It would be a different experience for classical music enthusiast, because Vienna is it's birthplace.

Sure. I bought - All Adults Here by Emma Straub (contemporary); Educated by Tara Westover (memoir); By Nightfall by Michael Cunningham (gay romance - I already read it) and The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham (I really wanna learn about finance).
