  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

I'm pretty convinced there is no likely chance of any of my issues being resolved, or at least the majority of them and the ones causing me the most grief being resolved but perhaps getting a more definitive answer might help in either convincing myself to keep trying or at least convince others my suicide will have not been totally irrational (at least in their eyes as I don't deem it irrational)

If you'd like to try it again I see no problem with doing so. In regard to convincing others your suicide is rational -- I don't think it's a concession that the vast majority of society is willing to make at the moment regardless of what you do.

I think if more people were put into situations that had little to no resolution that didn't involve ctb, then they may think differently. Not that I think ctb is the one and only choice. I've been exhausting many options. I just want the pain and torture of issues I can't fix and uncertain future to be at an end

What do you think you could gain from doctors?

I think it's good to try every option, as if you have tried everything that could possibly have helped and yet you have got nowhere, you will feel more confident in your decision to ctb. On the other hand it could possibly improve your life. There is nothing to lose by trying again.

I don't think it would hurt to give your doctor (or even better yet a new one) another try. My suggestion would be to ask your therapist/doctor who they would go to for help. They have the inside scoop- and this way, you might just be able to get adequate help!

I just fired my doctor today. After 2 days of excruciating pain and no sleep, they never called back. So last night I called the after hour doc AGAIN. She did not know how to handle my problem (too many head injuries), so she called my doc after hours for him to call me back - he actually yelled at me for bothering him after hours. I responded by saying well, had you called me during hours this would not be a problem. THEN (and I have had 3 appointments in the past month or so), he kept goihng over things that we had already discussed, and point by point, I had to reiterate why it was taking so long to get these things done. SMH (gently cause it is still killing me). He was my doc for over 20 years, and he cannot remember me or what we discussed? I called him on it, and then called today and let them have it in a kind way - the nurses have nothing to do with it. I did make sure to tell them that he was the one that caused my severe withdrawal after prescribing Xanax for 9 years and then abruptly taking it away even thou I knew that tapering it that fast would cause problems cause I worked in medicing - so I let his entire group know it through the nurses I spoke with today. I intend to report him to many different agencies, not that anything will be done, but at least it will leave a mark on his record and I will leave him a horibble reference online. I came very, very close to ending it last night. There is something so wrong with this world when a person cannot get adequate help.

Sorry - I did not mean to make this about me. It is just one example that there are docs out there who should not be practicng medicine, which is why I suggested trying to find new one - and try to find the best one who has a great reputation.

My utmost best wishes to you, and I truly hope you give the docs (a good one!) another chance. Ultimately, what can it hurt? And it might just help.

I constantly have this debate with the psychiatrists
Suicide is not a sickness- it's a rational decision in many cases
But saying that, psychiatry is very much still a guessing game
Finding the right meds for you is all trial and error
