• Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

Has anyone had success with medical weed for OCD, anxiety or depression? I don't mean local dealer weed but actual medical grade specific strains for an illness. I've been on a fair number of psych meds so I figure I'd qualify pretty easily but I wouldn't want it to make me a content unmotivated sack of shit if that makes sense. I've seen really bright people get sucked into the stoner life and slowly stop engaging in stuff.

Hi Afterman, I use marijuana to help with anxiety and depression as well as chronic pain. Mine isn't medical, as it's difficult to get prescribed weed where I'm from. However, I live in Canada, where weed was legalized in October.

I find that CBD oil helps take the edge off of the pain and anxiety/depression as well as lifts my mood. I've also started vaping a bit of dried flower that has some THC in it and it helps a lot, but the effects don't last as long as the CBD oil.

I'd suggest asking your doc about CBD oil as it can help with many things without the psychoactive ingredient (THC) which makes you high. Hope this helps!

I haven't tried it but I know several people who swear by it.

If you are interested in recovery you might also want to research psychedelics (lsd, ketamine, DMT, shrooms).

I stopped weed for almost 2 years, started it again for a week. For me it makes things worse. I've been erratic, couldn't think clearly or express myself the way I wanted. As soon I stopped smoking I felt better. I got rid of it cause I know if its around me I'm gonna be tempted to smoke again.

My sister is on medicinal marijuana. It's only been a few days but so far she's feeling better. She has suspension she takes in am and pm. It lasts 8-12 hours. Then she has a vape during the day. As much as she wants. She stays high but it's a good strain that helps a lot. Also it is strong and doesn't take much. It is slowly helping her anxiety , PTSD, chronic pain, GI issues. I love seeing that improvement.

I've used cannabis tincture to help get to sleep when night closes in and the demons of life are particularly sadistic. Unfortunately, I build tolerance to any drug, natural or pharmaceutical, ridiculously quickly, so it has lost efficacy.

An acquaintence recommended this website: https://www.projectcbd.org/

I would also strongly recommend microdosing with mushrooms. They were fantastically effective for reducing my anxiety for a solid three months --before that tolerance built up. There was also the factor that over those three months the demons got ever bigger, so the odds got ever more stacked against the mushrooms. Had I been in a more steady-state hell, the mushrooms might have gotten me over the hump.

I have to warn you on getting the right strain. When I was in college, I experimented and ended up doing nothing but contemplating life's mysteries.

Great for philosophy, terrible for computer science.

This was just a short term experience so your experience may differ. It was fun, but you gotta be careful ;)

ROFLMAO.

Entheogenic doses of mushrooms can be similar: either recreational or theraputic. You can spend six hours afloat in the world's best kaleidoscope, giggling like an idiot, and emerge with nothing more significant than a big grin and a dehydration headache, or you can immerse yourself in the Universe and emerge after six hours with insight and the most amazing tranquility you can imagine. It all depends on how you approach it.
