  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

so I was diagnosed with ASD (autism) this week. honesty I was kinda surprised bc I didn't think I fit into many of the symptoms for it. but like their doctors right? (also i don't care abt the diagnosis it makes no difference to me). but this morning I watched a random tik tok on class A personality disorders and have kinda gone down a rabbit hole of all that (unrelated to the diagnosis, i do this occasionally) and found that SzPD(schiziod personality disorder - link to a website abt it if ur interested) kind of explains me to the T. I also read that it has a lot of overlap with ASD and can be mistaken for eachother.
is this like smth I should bring up? I hate self diagnosing and like bringing smth like this up makes me feel like I'm asking for it. is it even worth it to bring it up?? and how would I even go abt it?
any advice would be much loved 💚

i think you should bring it up. just because theyre doctors doesnt mean they arent human. misdiagnoses are way too common 🫂trust yourself. as long as youre being honest with yourself, youre probably not wrong 💜

Yes, misdiagnosis is a possibility. I don't know how thoroughly they tested you to conclude you have autism, but even if they did, there could still be a mistake. Doctors are humans, prone to making errors. I would bring schizoid personality disorder up if you feel openness from the medical professionals, what can it hurt? Indeed, some symptoms overlap. Good luck with figuring this out!

You can be both, so don't worry about it. I would not fight the autism diagnosis, either, because there is help available. There is no real help for personality disorders.

You know far better than whoever diagnosed you honestly. They sent you in the right direction and if you found SzPD and immediately resonated with it and felt it in your gut then that's you and definitely let your doctor know don't waste any time moving in the wrong direction you need to be assertive when you feel strongly about your health.
I would tell my doctor "After my diagnosis I was doing research on Class A and I strongly resonated with SzPD. I would like to be tested for this." Something along those lines.

Autism spams through a lot of different diagnoses, because there's many kinds of autism . Tldr say there's 10,000 types of iq. Normal people will always be around the same across the board. So like, they roll a dice and it lands on 6, then they're 6/10 iq in all areas. Autism don't give a fuck. Yolo roll 10,000 dice. Maybe you get 10/10 math maybe you get 3/10 working memory. Maybe you roll soldier autist and they say ADHD. Either way though, you don't get social happy from typical and they secretly want tbo kill you instinctually. And rape you. And your woman. Personality defects stem from that. You can choose to be an autist, like myself. An aspie, like a cute pin up girl that gets raped and enjoys it thinking it's normal . A aspie and kiss up while they mock and reject you and you learn to cope with it with self loathing, for an autistic person and try to get insane skills then if you succees get edi-sonned at the patent office killed and your shit stolen

Asspie* an aspie like pin up or asspie like suck up that tries to convince autists that it's not rape

What do you hope to achieve by getting a more specific diagnosis, whether it's autism or schizoid personality disorder?
I don't mean to attack you; it is a genuine question.

Since these diagnoses can overlap, it might be more helpful to focus on managing your symptoms rather than on the exact label.

Take care.

idk I don't think being labelled either way will achieve anything. it just doesn't really feel right. it's like walking up to a tree and calling it a bush, your somewhat right but not really.

yeah that's what I am and I have been doing, it's just that this diagnosis was put in from of me recently.

i wasn't planning of fighting it, or trying to get rid of it. I get why they diagnosed me with it I just feel like SzPD is better in a way or like more accurate? and I know there's no real help/cure for personality disorders but neither is there for autism so I'm kinda stuck in this shit hole anyway. may as well be in the right hole right?
I would tell my doctor "After my diagnosis I was doing research on Class A and I strongly resonated with SzPD. I would like to be tested for this." Something along those lines.
thank you this is really helpful, I will try when i see them next.
