  • Hey Guest,

As you know, censorship around the world has been ramping up at an alarming pace. The UK and OFCOM has singled out this community and have been focusing its censorship efforts here. It takes a good amount of resources to maintain the infrastructure for our community and to resist this censorship. We would appreciate any and all donations.

For the first time in over 30 years I used psilocybin mushrooms today.

I started with about 300mg, which had no discernible effect and then moved to 600mg about four hours later.

For about 3 hours I then felt very tranquil, at ease with myself in a way I generally am not. There were no hallucinations or weird thoughts, just a sense of inner calm that is pretty opposite to my normal state of self-condemnation.

Further, I was able to get some work done without rabbit holes or other abberant thought patterns.

I absolutely can see how this would be a great medication for depression, especially addressing PTSD and other trauma-induced states.

It puts the alleged mental health benefits from weed to shame... At least for me... as weed tends to heighten my anxiety and exacerbate worries. Mushrooms, by contact, feel like a gift of tranquility.

Mushrooms can be okay in a low dose or if you are used to them but they don't work for everyone. I had a bad trip off them and it really rattled me. I've done it a few times with mixed results but the last time, I must've taken too much. It brought up some painful thoughts that I still don't quite understand. DXM did a similar thing too, maybe if I was in the proper mindset I could use it to help me work through things but I felt extremely scared on those bad trips.

Weed sometimes has a similar affect as what you describe too. I can get anxious or sometimes I don't get any effect. I've got pleasant effects when I did shrooms with it once but it's kind of hit or miss for me.

Reaching way back in memory, mushrooms seemed to be less intense and speedy than LSD.

Have you heard of the Stamets Stack microdose regimen?

If you enjoyed a lower dose, I'd also recommend getting some cold macerated lavender oil and some l-theanine and treating yourself to a bigger dose.
